The Bugatti is a funny one. Yes it is very fast but its also not really set up to be fast in any situation bar a straight line. The turbos need spooling so it will loose the instant edge over n/a super cars, its very heavy so is disappointing on track and according to most the people I have met who has driven or even sold them - its fairly dull to drive. As you have said the only real reason for Bugatti to make it is to show they can and the only reason for someone to really buy it is to show how much money they have. For those reasons I regard it as pointless.

I totally agree
I was just playing Devil's advocate and that's the best thing I could come up with, which along with the points you've raised above is more reason to own one than a few other cars on the road (If you've got the money obviously).
