Your car tax will go up to £310 from the 1st April 2009 then up to £455 from the 1st April 2010.

So I asked can I surrender my tax on the 28th March 2009 and renew it on the 1st March 2009? Yes, is the answer, just make sure it registered posting date is the 28th March 2009 for the one month refund.

Then I asked, can I do the same in 2010. Yes is the answer.

I guess the DVLA are going to be busy in March 2009...........
