Balancing is definately the cheapest option to start with. If that doesn't help then have a look at the discs. They might be suffering from disc thickness variation which would cause the disc to knock the pad at certain speeds which could cause the judder your experiencing (it's probably not as you can feel it through the accelarator though).
I've got a strange banging coming from my nearside front wheel whenever I turn the steering wheel fully to the right hand side - only at slow speeds though (mostly when i'm manouevring). Can anyone help me - it's def not wheel balancing but it might be a bearing.
