A2 making a strange noise
A2 going really well and saving a fare bit on fuel costs!
Replaced the ARB links myself as there was a slight knocking noise but still makes a strange noise when it sets off. Only does it when warm and it almost sounds like someone blowing over a milk bottle/ rubbing noise. Hard to locate source but sounds like it mav be under the car just behind front wheels. As it only happens when warm it could be a flush fitting exhaust joint or maybe an engine mount. More noticeable when stting off initially but only as the car warms up and eventually it can be heard when going over bumps etc but not as loud. Anyone any ideas? Hard one to explain!

If it sounds like a cow mooing, it could be that you need a new EGR valve. Common fault [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/169144-ok.gif[/img]

Depends on what cow u are talking about! Nothing like her in doors, not as loud!! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]
Could be, would explain why it only happens when warm/setting off. It is the 1.4 tdi, anyone know where the valve is located and cost of a new one? Happy to swap even if to eliminate if not too pricey!
