Help required!!

Hi,

I am desperate for a bit of help with my '98 1.6 a3! I was driving a couple of days ago and the oil light came on, beeped a couple of times then stayed flashing. It then went off. I cacked myself and pulled in to check the oil. It seemed fine but i put a little in anyway to see if that would sort it. Off i went again and about 3-4 miles later it happened again. Stopped at my girlfriends house and then drove another miles after starting up and everything seemed ok. I don't want to drive it until i find out whats going on here incase i lunch the engine or something, does anyone have any ideas?!

If the dip stick is showing ok, then my guess is that your sensor has gone up the spout.

Do you have any obvious oil leaks showing or drips where you park?
