Default Roof mounted aerial rubber seal

How easy is it to replace the rubber seal/o'ring at the base of the aerial on my S3.

    The existing one has cracked/perished.

Is it an Audi specific part from the 'stealers'?

You can buy a replacement seal from www.vagparts.com after that it takes about 10 minutes.

You can remove the rear interior light panel and access the aerial nut from there. It quiet easy all you need is a thin screwdriver to remove the light panel and 17mm spanner to loosen the nut.

All you need to remember is when your replacing the aerial just make sure you don't tighten the nut to much or you'll kink the roof.

It's as easy as that the sealer will charge a fortune.
