just a word of warning - hubbie took the car (08 A4 cab s-line 3.2) for his first ever drive Sunday, I had hangover and needed KFC for lunch ... he decided for whatever reason to go to Chatham not Maidstone, realised he was being followed but wasn't that bothered as didn't have the roof down and my plate has my name on the last three letters so assumed it was a guy wanting to have a look at me (never seems to happen to me!!).
Pulled into car park behind debenhams (in case any of you know the area), realised the same car also pulled in and parked a few cars down and out got 4 lads who started walking towards him (the car). He got out of my car and not being the smallest built chap stood his ground staring at them - he said it took a few seconds to register but they then ran back to their car, got in and drove off...... it may just have been a strange episode and he promises he never cut them up earlier but just thought I would do a post to warn others, to be vigilant. If it had been me driving and they wanted the car, I would have had to hand over the keys!!! |

what meet?? Where are the details and I will look it up? How many people go and are you all males??
I will try and get some more details when he gets in, I did ask him if he had the reg. 'cos I would have phoned it through to the police!! If he remembers anything else I will post too - He did say the stare down was a solid one as he was more scared to come home and tell me the car had been taken - ha ha! |

Hmmm.... worryingly interesting thread...
As I'm akin to a Mr Muscle advert, I'd have stayed in the car and driven off again. Would be interested to know what colour/type of car it was. B. ![]()

I am no beefcake either so would have had to scarper sharpish too!
Sorry guys, was a dark (he thinks blue) Nova, pretty common cars ....... and he didn't get any of the reg. I have frequented the lovely town of Chatham since and I have never felt threatened but do hide my handbag in the boot when driving (dont want to make it too easy!). Some rude buggars nicked my silver hub caps on 1 side of the car on Saturday too, in Walderslade ..... not very happy!
