Default Thinking about selling my S4, advice please?

THINKING about selling the S4 though I fear it might not be worth it.

Question is, how much to ask? ie. My price, I don't NEED to sell.
Any comments on the ad are most welcome.

P.S. The pictures are a bit old, will update.

I've been accused of talking down S4 values which seems strange as I have one.

Anyway best bit is to ring fontain's and ask for a straight sale price and then add on £2k for your private ad price. I'm just guessing but private sale at £14495?

Best of luck

PS The price guides are all well out for a big petrol engined car. Roughly, at the moment, price guide trade is really retail. Therefore the guides are £2k over reality.

I had 15k in mind so given the "constant disappointment" factor of selling a car then that sounds about right.

Unbelievable given some of the crap out there at the price.

A fellow tyresmoker ( and knowledgeable chap) offered just under 21k about a year ago. I said no as I'd decided not to sell.

That makes it over 6k between age 3.5yrs and 4.5yrs. That's bad......Boxster bad!

Are you calling me knowledgable ?! (or is this another fellow tyresmoker) ;o)

I must admit, i'm surprised at how much prices have fell over the past 12 months, I'd estimated losing around £4k per year, but that looks like it might be closer to £5k in reality, however, the tax hike hasn't helped greatly.
I'm still thinking the government may well have an about face on certain model year vehicles between 2001 and 2005, in which case values may start to slightly steady again.

Best of luck with your sale Ben, it was (and still is) a cracking spec'd S4 with every option anyone may want.

For 15K its a hell of a lot of car, and one which would be far more enjoyable than a similar priced fuel effecient shed/soot chucker that the government would like us all to be driving at the moment.

Cheers Matt, as you know I don't WANT to sell as I do love the car but it's the only way I can get back to open top driving. Can't justify 4 cars for me and the missus!!!

I do! I now just keep them longer to make the depreciation of three cars fit into four.
