That's crazy just how stupid are the people who work in dealerships these days and compulsive liars as well given both our experiences. Don't know about you but if I displayed this level of incompetence in my job I wouldn't be around for very long, neither would my company.
I find it amazing how when a persons only job is to sell cars and even more so when it is dealing with a single manufacturer how little knowledge they have of the both the product they are selling and how the systems and processes of their supplier work. Us Tyresmokers should setup our own dealership as given everyone’s experience we'd show the shower of sh!te that run the dealerships in this country how it should be done! |

That is quite a good rant, mainly 'cos - in my experience - it is true.
This time, only my second A4, I am just hoping that I have no unplaceable rattle or that dubious buzz I had last time behind the steering wheel. Took me months - and several visits and test drives - to convince the Audi Centre that I wasn't plain raving mad. Not that I'm lacking in capabilities of sticking up for myself when presented with bad service, but Audi certainly took me further than most... and, in turn, made me a worse customer full stop... now I treat any lack of service or product quibble with the simple approach "...why are you trying to stiff me?" Not fair on some... but I was 'trained' by Audi. How I would describe things, as opposed to "incompetence" and "compulsive liars" is more... "snooty" and "utterly complacent". Anyway, I'm back... (soon anyway)... 'cos, at the end of the day, they make good cars. You do get a lot of "I don't know" and then no call-back, for a lot of questions, don't you? Training lacking? No internal communication? Too busy? Cheers, DpM

Got an e-mail today saying my car should be here in 2 weeks That's 7 weeks from order to delivery!!! Pity I'm on holiday for 2 weeks when it is due to get here ![]() But after that it could be (can we get a flappy paddle smilie for us S-tronic folk please)?!Of course everything I said earlier about them still stands...... |

TBH because I should of had it by now until they cocked up my order, I just want the car.
Having to wait another month until September I don't think I could. Also because they have honoured the part-ex up until now if I said I didn't want it until September I think they would want to revise the part-ex offer. I'm thinking of asking for a free or discounted first service maybe just pay for the parts to make up for it. I'm planning to keep the car for 4-5 years so I don't think that given the mileage I do around 22K a year that been a 09 or 59 plate will make much difference. I don't care myself if it is an 09 or 59 since a new reg is out every 6 months how long is a car "new" for now anyway? |

If it was there mistake i would still want/expect them to honour there px as they were the ones who made an arse of it.
But as you say the length of time you are keeping the car it would be more benefit to you getting so free servicing etc... If it was me i would want both 59 plate and goodies.

I'm not one for shafting the dealers completely, they are in business to make money and the idiot who cocked up my order got the push. I think there is a middle ground where they are happy and I am happy. I've been pretty good about the whole thing which I will be making a point of and hopefully this will stand me in good stead when pushing for a bit extra. In my mind the servicing is a good angle to go for as I don't normally use them for servicing as I have a dealer who is closer to where I live, so everyones a winner!!

Tum-te-tum... I added the clever mirrors as advised. Also, confirmed the system I used was wrong in offering Servotronic on an MY2010 - apparently the data used is supplied by Audi themselves. :-)
Cheers, DpM
