Default A4 - Executive S line Offer.

Did this 'offer' just end?

Cheers, DpM

I think it did, but Audi told me it was still on for the 2.0 TDI 143... so impetus made me wanna go for that, as it's a better deal. So, have plumped for A4 2.0 TDI 143 Executive S line with technology pack (MMI 3G HDD, AMI and Cruise), heated front seats, parking plus, tyre pressure monitor, interior lights, advanced key and I finally tagged on Servotronic on a whim... Bluetooth phone comes bundled with Executive S line... black and silver stitching.

Cheers, DpM

Tagged on Servotronic? Are you getting one of the last MY2009's ?

One of the changes for MY2010 is :

New standard equipment Change to Models affected
Servotronic speed-related power-assisted
steering Standard 2.0 TDI (120PS, 143PS, 170PS)

1.8 TFSI (120PS, 160PS)

Ah! That's great! Even less expensive then. It is a MY2010... not MY2009. Fantastic news. Thanks! The system I used to place the order had that option still on there (their mess-up, I'm sure)... Company Car... so I ticked the box because someone, maybe you, had strongly recommended Servotronic to me in a previous thread.

Cheers, DpM

I knew I'd get the blame somewhere!!

If I found myself in the same boat i.e. with £175 suddenly going begging then I'd add the electric folding mirrors. Not because they fold (handy due to the price if they get knocked off when parked!!) but because the auto dipping (when you have headlights behind you) is simply brilliant. Oh and I also recoded mine last night so that when I select reverse the nearside mirror drops so I can see the kerb and comes back up when I drive off. In theory you can only get this with the Comfort pack but Vag-com came to the rescue.

Are you getting a manual or an auto? I'm just wondering if you'll have the start stop technology? If you get a manual you will, an auto you won't. The downside is the option that I thought should be compulsory (Hill Start Assist) isn't available anymore on the 2.0 manuals.

It's an auto. - I'd not choose a manual if someone paid me(!) - I can't hack anything else on the boring commute, so no "start/stop" feature, sadly. I think that I can find something else to use £175 for - something not car related, but I'll see how it all turns out. Might see if it can be done, though... might be something to think about.

You know I've been waiting for MMI 3G - otherwise I'd've been in a MY2009 some months ago... hopefully all the timing works out so that I get shot of this SLK just as the summer comes to an end. Really good fun... if expensive.

Kinda just glad the order is in the system now.

Cheers, DpM

Oh yeah ! I forgot you was holding off for that! So not only are you getting the 3G but now you'll also get the full voice control which was previously an extra

Mine's scheduled for week 31 (last week of July) with a view that I collect on or abouts Sept 1st. When's your's due? A couple of weeks after that?

Did something else happen to yours Scotty? Last time I was on I'm sure you said yours was a week 22 build (end of May) same as mine. My real one is apparently going to be here end of July which is 8 weeks from them placing the (second) order which if true is pretty good going. Of course I still don't believe a word they say!

I know, it really does seem to have worked out OK... that patience thing. Who'd've thought it? I do hope Audi allow updates to happen to the 3G system, so that new POIs, or - even better - custom POIs can be added... obviously thinking of fixed cameras, as the £90 TomTom allows that. I think some Audi bigshot was talking about that possibility in an Internet interview at some point.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about expected delivery dates yet... I just ran the order through a computer system today. But, what I'm hoping is sometime around Sept. / Oct. - tho' I'm not too concerned.

I am thinking of adding those mirrors for £145.

Cheers, DpM

My replacement was due to be built the very first week of MY2010 production.....but they didn't order it! We reached an agreement where I delay collecting it until it's a 59 plate and I stay in the current FWD car. All works out well for me
