I ordered my 3.0Tdi the day they opened the order book on the 2.0T. I was initially torn between the darkside and the 2.0T but the darkside won. It was the fact that I couldn't have tiptronic with the petrol and the diesel was only £70 per month more on the company car tax. And it has stacks more torque

A second 2.0T has been announced (180ps) which Audi regard as a straight replacement for the 1.8T (final orders 31/7). I can see why they've done this given the improvement re. 211ps 2.0T. This new 2.0T is only FWD in man/auto and is 175 GBP more than the 1.8T.

Have you any more information on this one? Or link to any info on line?

I'm assuming the new 180bhp has the same technology on it as the 211bhp one to lower emissions, increase mpg etc?

Looks like Audi have sneaked it in to yet another revised version of their brochure; see http://www.audi.co.uk/etc/medialib/c....0012.File.pdf.

I don't think version eleven has even made it to the showrooms, but watch out for the 1.8T dropping and yet another brochure being published. This is according to the Audi bulletin.

Some of the favourable stats for the new 180ps bear a remarkable resemblence to those for the 211ps engine which may suggest the two engines are essentially based on the same.

I concur, the 1.8T has already been dropped over here & in Germany where there is a wider engine & transmission choice.
