First of all thanks for the invite great site.
Have just purchased a 2004 A6 Avant 1.9 TDi SE. Tiptonic. but have three faults, was informed of these before I bought it. 1. The AM on the sound system dont work cant get any stations.2. The reversing sensors on it work but just sound soon as I put it ireverse? then just goes off after a couple of seconds. 3. The front side lights are dim, so purchased some new LED ones. Is there an easy way of getting at them without taking the engine out ![]() Love the car otherwise, any help on these annoyances appreciated. Thanks for looking. Regards Doddy |

Welcome to TSN Doddy!
1) - pass, you might need to replace it. Take it out with the Audi tools, and check the connections 2) - Sounds like the gear linkage/sensor bit might be out of sync somewhere. Not sure how or what you clean for it 3) - LEDs? Not sure where they will fit? I think their might be some other information on here about fitting LEDs. You can buy replacement headlamps with them built in for your model. With all my cars, I just buy 90% brighter Osram bulbs and fit them. Easy, but a dirty job to fit. You need flexible hands too! However, I could not get to the poxy little sidelights - I'll let the servicing garage do it when it's in for a service!
