Sat Nav post code search (again)

I know this has been covered many many times before, but i felt like having a new moan about the poor 4 digit post code support that comes with the Audi Sat Nav.

Went camping at the weekend. Got the address from Google and it was a bit vague (being a field i suppose it would be). It gave the town and the full post code.

Great, except i can't use the full 6 digit post code, and the 4 digit Audi version means i have about 20 options, all in different areas and no help whatsoever.

So, drove there in a £50k+ car and had to use a £100 TomTom to find the place. Marvellous!

Well here's some good news, your next Audi with MMI 3G will also only have 4 digit post code search.

That's just ridiculous. I can't see why they can't support the full 6 digit search. It amazes me, as this has been supported for years on other platforms. Just can't understand their thinking on this.

I've got to say that i find it annoying too.. it can find the number of my house on my road, but can't search for it via a 6 digit post code.. does seem odd.

Surely the first place to complain to would be Audi and not the forums, no one on here can fix it.

It's more of an annoyance that a complaint really...

if you have the full address then it's not a problem.. its only a problem if you don't have the road name aswell.

Well it would make sense to voice your opinions about a £50k car to the maker. And yes it annoys me too.
