Lots of info but none at the same time, they haven't driven it and don't talk about what the engine sounds like or how the car feels.... other than that its a good little article.

I take it the pic is a photoshop then?

It doesn't fit in with spy pics of the RS5 which have TT-S style air intakes.

Photos in it look a bit too good to be photoshops, but it could be. They have a photo where its side by side with a white M3 with a reflection of the RS5 in the bodywork that looks pretty convincing.

I reckon it is all ball.....

Just look at the power and torque figures given - power is +30bhp and torque is +20 lb ft compared to an RS4, yet they say it is a twin turbo 4.2L V8. That would be a candidate for the smallest increase with twin turbos ever!

the photos on the front cover suggest they have driven it, or at least had a photographer with it when it was been driven.

My vote is on photoshop simply because I don't see CAR magazine getting such a scoop. Also, the spy pics show a totally different bumper:

If it is a photoshop then shame on them for not making it clear.

Looked at the article and it mentions a company and a person.... they could be photoshops after all, but no its not clear.

Remember that Car magazine posted a 'picture' on its cover of the rear of the E92 M3 before it came out (obviously) showing that the number plate was in the rear bumper rather than in the boot lid like all other E92's. They made a thing of pointing this out and, of course, it was just plain wrong.

I switched from Car to Evo a number of years back and see no need to go return. Shame, in the mid 90s it was a great magazine.

Indeed, I've been in the process of cancelling my subscription for a long time. Not been the same since they swallowed Performance Car and went all arty.
