Hi there, for some reason ive not really appreciated how lovely tt`s are till recently, and i want one badly, but i have a young baby so need some boot space, ive been reading a few posts about the boot space and have learned that the 2wd`s have a bigger boot, but how much bigger?also do the tailgates all open like a hatch in all tt`s apart from the roadster, and is it poss to get the rear facing baby seat in the back,if not can the airbags be switched off in the front passenger side, any help appreciated especially from anyone who has small kids.

Pax airbag can be switched off in the wifes TT
The rear seats are classed as child seats in a TT, theres a sticker on the "B" pillar. The boot on a front wheel drive is deeper than a AWD

Mine had airbag de-activation but I honestly cannot remember if it was standard or an option. Its the usual key in the glovebox. |

shao-khan,is your ttr awd or 2wd,ive been looking on ebay and stuff and did a bit of homework, just learned that they only do 2wd since 3 yrs ago so it will be a quattro because of my price range,so will a buggy fit in the quattro then, probably about a 2001,what problems and thing are there to look out for on both the 180bhp and 225`s.my freind who knows quite a bit about cars says they are bad for reliability.

mine was 2wd.
All mk2 TT 2l coupe and roadster were fwd until recently. In mk1 150 fwd TTR and 180 fwd TTC were available from around '53 plates i think. You should see them in main dealer from £10k upwards. |
