2011 bmw m5 f10

I found the M3 lacked a bit of torque, but the sound, poise and handling made up for it when compared to tweaked 335i/d's. I'm sure a mapped 550i will be bloody fast, but still wont be an M car. Wonder what 'box they will put in the new M5 DCT or Auto?

Been a passenger in the 'Ring taxi twice and though the M5 was quick but driving one myself was quite an eye opener, it was substantialy quicker than my M3 and the SMG (no where near as good as an automatic at slow speeds!) was giggle inducing when you're hooning.

Cheers mate, they are good to look at, IF I go the 550i route ( PDI 120 should be the same as M3) I will keep them and sell the car with the 18" anthracites I have as a spare set.

Whats your guess at the M5 price?.
PS) F10 M5 coming with modified M-DCT 7 speed box.

DMS tune the E60 550i so I'd guess they'll have something soon along with Hamann and Hartge. I wonder if the UK will get the 550xi ...

now being a turbo (the E60 was NA) will mean the tuners like Evolve and DMS will have some great gains with mapping.

Agree entirely. The clever money is very much on a remapped 550i that puts out immense amounts of power for not a lot of money more.

Yep seen these on M5board, it's not that "impressive" is it.

I honestly don't think this will have the same character or the excitement of the V10. Personally I just think turbo's are there for the green parties and to easily gain horsepower, but they sap the raw thrill I love about high revving N/A engines.

Never thought i'd see the M cars go this way - It's a shame really.
