Been a passenger in the 'Ring taxi twice and though the M5 was quick but driving one myself was quite an eye opener, it was substantialy quicker than my M3 and the SMG (no where near as good as an automatic at slow speeds!) was giggle inducing when you're hooning.

Cheers mate, they are good to look at, IF I go the 550i route ( PDI 120 should be the same as M3) I will keep them and sell the car with the 18" anthracites I have as a spare set.

Whats your guess at the M5 price?.
PS) F10 M5 coming with modified M-DCT 7 speed box.

DMS tune the E60 550i so I'd guess they'll have something soon along with Hamann and Hartge. I wonder if the UK will get the 550xi ...

now being a turbo (the E60 was NA) will mean the tuners like Evolve and DMS will have some great gains with mapping.
Agree entirely. The clever money is very much on a remapped 550i that puts out immense amounts of power for not a lot of money more.

Default Most Advanced F10 M5 Shots Yet - Final Wheels and Mirrors, and Production Interior

Here are some of the most detailed F10 M5 photos yet, including clear views of the likely production interior, wheels, side mirrors, trunk spoiler, and other features. Rarely has the car been photographed parked and so up close. Only the few strips of camouflage tape remains.

The 2012 M5 is expected to premier at the 2011 Frankfurt IAA autoshow in September 2011.

Yep seen these on M5board, it's not that "impressive" is it.

I honestly don't think this will have the same character or the excitement of the V10. Personally I just think turbo's are there for the green parties and to easily gain horsepower, but they sap the raw thrill I love about high revving N/A engines.

Never thought i'd see the M cars go this way - It's a shame really.
I R Petrolhead - My blood is Rosso Corsa. My voice sounds like a V10. My eyes are British Racing Green. I have freckles in the shape of Ayrton Senna. I drink High Octane. My legs rev to 8,500rpm. My heart has variable valve-timing. I need servicing every 12 months or 15,000 miles....Whichever comes first!

As suspected the new V8 sounds a bit boring compared to the outgoing V10...
