Default Audi MMI BTA SAP and Three Network

Hi,

07 Audi A8L with BTA

I've just got a new Nokia 6220 classic on the Three network. I couldn't get the new phone to pair using SAP / Remote SIM Mode (OK on Regular bluetooth). It just connects momentarily, showing sim icon on the screen briefly before disconnecting and then cycling through this procedure approx. every 10 seconds.

Tried the SIM in my previous Nokia E50 2G only phone, which historicaly has paired fine with O2 SIM and although the phone works fine stand alone, again the phone will not connect using SAP / Remote SIM mode.

Also have the same problem with a colleagues '3' SIM. So the issue seemd to be with the '3' SIM rather than the device.

Anyone else had problems pairing a 'Three' network phone to audi BTA using SAP / Remote SIM Mode, or can offer any advice?

Thanks.

It's the 3 network, an A5 user had this issue with SAP and 3.

You didn't mention 3 to me on the phone before.

Thanks for the reply Craig.

I didn't mention it earlier as I had assumed it was a handset issue......

It is a handset issue - but caused by the 3 SIM.

SIMs can be setup by operators to enable/disable handset features, such as SAP.
