Hi Guys,
I have a customer who is having issues with his Blackberry 8700. The car was collected on 1st September and the 8700 paired fully with the car (phone book, missed calls etc). After working fine for the last 24 days the all functions bar the dialled numbers dropped off the options list (although they still showed the contact names e.g. Joe Bloggs etc) The customer assures me that no firmware updates have been carried out on the phone and says he has not been made aware of any changes made by the IT department. Audi list no product bulletins regarding the issue and although I have seen phones stop working with cars (nearly always a phone ECU) I have never seen a case where options have suddenly dropped off. Anyone have any ideas? The phone ECU fitted to the car is part number 8T0862335A so it's a new generation one

Yes, I have seen this, I retrofitted an "A" module to an A5 and the same thing happened with the blackberry, N95 has no issues with the phone book, but the Blackberry fecks up a day later, deleting & repairing the kit seems to fix it temporarily.
I asked the customer to download the latest firmware from Blackberry and I've not heard back from him since.
