Default VW Car battery for Golf GT TDi

On four occasions I have left my car in the garage whilst on holiday for 10 -14 days to return and find the battery flat and therefore unable to turn the engine. Of course jump start &/or recharging solves the problem but this is surely not acceptable. Any advice welcome.

You either need a new battery or something is else draining it... simple as. Fit new battery and if it still occurs then the fun begins. First things to check would be non standard stereo or alarms.

If its a mark 5 golf, ask them about a radio recall!

Question VW Car battery for Golf GT TDi

Many thanks for your replies. I am due to have a new battery fitted tomorrow and with a holiday break due in a week or so the system will be tested again. If the battery is again drained then the fun begins.
