Cheers chaps!

I have a couple more I'm finalising at present - "machine polishing£ and a brief review on the SSR range plus "polishing guide" which is still in the early stages.

I would add to that that number one should be the Wheels and then go on with the order as described.

Terrific Andy!! I was too embarrassed to ask anyone how do I wash a car properly and your post gives all the answers. I just bought a Meg's Magnet cloth and a Lambswool Mitt so no excuses for me not to start cleaning properly.

Thanks Andy for a informative well laid out post.
Didn't realise car washing materials / tools had moved on a pace. Will be looking for my new bits to replace that sponge now.

Andy PC, excellent info but you should also include a default " Leave it to the detailing experts and the results will be guaranteed and there'll be an abundance of bread on their respective tables!!!"

I hope business is good at this "how the feck do I keep this bloody car clean time of year"

I'd always done wheels last (dirty bits last theory) but often found that whilst I was washing them the rest of the car was drying a bit to fast and getting water marks.

Now I'm doing them first and making clean shampoo for the rest of the car.

Andy's guide definately proves that it's well worth re-evaluating how we conduct this most basic car care task.

Thanks all

I have a problem ... ! I enjoy washing the cars, normally rinse like mad with the hose first, then take care washing to avoid swirls.

Have moved house, and been hit wit a hosepipe ban (despite the millions of gallons lost every day by the water companies). Just used a bucket and watering can, and despite taking real care I have swirls now. Very annoyed!

Can I ask - for cars with Diamondbrite etc, do any of you use garage jetwashes, and what results are you getting? I refuse to put a brush on a car, so either have to let my cars get filthy, or find a way of making the watering-can experience work ... !

Any and all help welcomed.
