Hey guys, I'm moving back to MK in a few weeks after several years absence, and the A4 needs a service in a month so:
Just wondered, how is Wayside Audi nowadays? Are they any good or should I go down to Aylesbury or Bedford? Or on the other hand, anyone know any very good specialists that would do an AVS service cheaper? I'm not sure I can see the wisdom in letting main dealers rip me off now its not in warranty (it's just finding a specialist thats good that I struggle with!) Would really appreciate some comments and suggestions. Thanks! Ben |

Hello Mate Over in Brackley is APS - they are not too far a ride so they are very good and value for money for servicing and repairs on all Audi/VW group cars. APS - VW Audi Porsche Seat Skoda Land Rover Range Rover vehicle servicing and performance tuning Ask for Ed. They are very well known here. HTH Tone |

Wayside Audi are a complete bunch of tossers - I'd avoid them like the plague. If you want to stick to a dealer then Bedford Audi are fantastic but APS can't be ignored, it's a small company but I'm yet to hear anything other than praise for them and having used them a couple of times myself too I'll be going back again.

Alternatively give Jon Watts at Vagtech (google them) a call- they are south of MK in Soulbury about 7miles away. They are very knowledgeable (he did the first uk suprecharger conversion to audi 3.2 lump - 400bhp, quarter in 12.2 on r32)and know the audis inside out. My 1.9tdi has gone there for last 3 years or so. Cheaper than main dealer, friendlier, better service, wifi, tea and coffee! APS seem to be packed out with TTs when i went there for 4 wheel alignment! (but again very helpful and good!)

IndeTech are very good, they are just behind Wayside, Call and speak to Andy. They did my A4 1.8t service - including the optional 2 year work like Aircon and brake fluid and was just over 50% cheaper than Wayside.
APS are also very good, just put a review in the reviews section on them I think Wayside aftersales and service department was trained by the same poeple that used to train NTL staff..... SOme of the front of house staff are good and efficient, some are also very attractive, but thats about it. The aftersales manager when I was last in was desperately trying to make up for his camden group background and 5foot stature...... He wasnt good. Last 4 cars that have been in have been damaged with very very poor follow up - a curbed alloy on my S3 was responded with "It was like it when I booked it in"...... I think my sig sums it up really. |
