Default Japanese GP Banter

Its an early one for those that are going to watch it but for the rest of us we can use Sky+ or the repeat.

Ferrari are back to using the lollipop this time around and I'm sure both McLaren and Ferrari will be strong. Its going to be a nail biting finish to the season thats for sure.

Oh and her are a few shots of Bernie's daughter just because well ... take a look and what to do you think, apparently it was a photo shoot for PETA’s, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, latest campaign “I would rather go naked than wear fur.”

Carmad, can I just say that's your best contribution ever to an F1 thread...

Cracking lap by Hamilton with Kimi close behind, Massa might find it interesting getting to the sharp end but he is certainly quick. The Renault is certainly improving as or at least Alonso is getting the best out if at any rate.

Oh here we go. Ferrari International Rescue once again.

Stewards have decided that Massa running into Bourdais was unlawful, and have given Bourdais a 25 second penalty for having the gall to drive on the racing line and impeding a Ferrari. Hamiltons lead has been cut to 5 points as a result of Massa being promoted to 7th place.

Link.

I can't quite believe that. Bourdais had the corner and they were racing for position. I'd have taken that as a racing incident of the sort you inevitably get when cars leaving the pits merge with cars on the main circuit. If there was any fault it was Massa's, and I expected them to penalise him if they decided that the spin wasn't enough punishment in itself.

Four controversial stewards' decisions so far this season, two for Massa, two against Hamilton.

A great drive by Alonso to take the win well deserved, he saw the opportunity and his class got the win.

As for Hamilton, oh dear its great to see him race and go for it but sometimes he needs to take his time but then again a big part of the attraction in watching him would be lost, a tough one. The first corner incident was a little sloppy to say least.

As for Massa, well not the best drive either and he also went for a gap that wasn't there, penalty was just though I think a stop and go would have been more just not just a drive through. Reading above that the other Massa incident sees him getting the upper hand is incredible, how that can go his was is beyond me.

I still hope Hamilton will get it but I still don't think we have seen an end to the FIA changing the course of the race and the winner of the championship yet. It was a great race to watch but stupid post race decisions like that are just plain daft, they need to get an ex-racing driver in as a lead steward for each race at the very least.
