My wife's aunty needs to sell her car (no longer allowed to drive) and I'd like to value it for her.
It a Rover 214i 16v 5dr, 40k miles, passed MOT today, good condition BUT it has several scratches (most recently driver's wing keyed this am!) ![]() First registered 22 Feb 1998, which I think makes it an R-plate. First registered UK (from Ireland) 2001. It still has Irish plate on it. Not sure if this effects the value. Whatcar: Rover 200 Hatchback 214i 16v 5dr 1998 (R ) 40,000 miles Dealer £1,195 Private £945 Part exchange £845 Trade £795 Cost new £11,850 Seems a bit high to me. The low mileage helps, but they really aren't sought after cars, I'd be suprised if it fetched those book figures.
I'd reckon on about £500 to shift it quickly, thats a cheap car for someone who just wants to get from a to b and doesn't care what in.

Yeah dont let this go to waste! If a family memeber needs a new car get Aunty down there to sign for it so the car count towards the scrappage!
