Removed from my home cinema at Christmas. Used for 6 months, so as good as new (stickers still on front)
Proper bit of kit with a great HDMI scaler/switcher built in. Can still get factory refurbs of these for £499, so I'm after £300 ono. No box/manual etc... just the amp and remote. Prefer collection or can arrange a meet-up. ![]() The TX-SR806 occupies a unique position in the Onkyo line-up.We class it as a mid-range A/V receiver. But with its advanced capabilities and THX Ultra2 Plus certification, it’s a worthy challenger for high-end status. Built with high-definition entertainment in mind, the TX-SR806 accommodates up to five HDMI™ sources that can handle both 1080p video and studio master-quality surround sound. That’s more high-def sources than you’ll find on any other Onkyo A/V receiver. If that weren’t enough, onboard Faroudja DCDi Cinema™ scales all standard definition sources to 1080p for HDMI output, or to 1080i for component video output. Endowed with the amplification power and dependability expected from an Onkyo A/V receiver, the TX-SR806 stands out as a natural choice for highperformance home theater. Special Features

I've tried to find an answer from the specs and reviews but it's not clear. Can it run the front pair bi-amped in a 7.1 setup of is this only possible in 5.1 as the extra rear channels are used for the bi-amping?
Also am I right in thinking you're in Kent?

That's a shame as I currently have a 7.1 setup with the fronts bi-amped and would like to keep it that way. I would've just liked the additional HDMI inputs as my current Receiver only has 3.

Mine used to be bi'amped on my old system but I run 7.1 now they aren't. However the overall sound is in a different league to my old Denon system. The detail and overall depth of the sound was different enough for even the wife to notice.
