I agree although the Arai did fit me better if I had tried to change the visor in the shop I think this would have tipped the balance for me to a Shoei - if you look on the Arai website there are videos of the visor change & it looks very easy if you have done it 1000s of times but I found it very difficult - guess will just have to stick the black visor on it & use the AGV with a clear visor...

I find it very easy to change the visor on my Arai RX7-RR. You just open the visor, push up on the black levers which push out the sidepods and remove the visor.
Have they changed the mechanism on the newer helmets?

I found it very easy (although rather unpleasant mechanically) to remove the visor - reinstating it was where I had difficulty ! The Chaser is a few models down on the RX7 so maybe they get better components ?

I've had my Arai for just over 5 months. I chose it as it was the best fit for me out of those I tried (including Shoei).
The visor removal I do fairly regularly to switch out my tinted PinLock with a clear one. I thought I was gonna break it the first few times but now it's fine. Some times it's a little fiddle to get it back on but each time it gets easier.

Well having used my Arai a bit more the visor is getting a lot easier to take on & off and I no longer worry about removing the visor however I am still pleasantly surprised when it goes back on without a struggle...
