Default Shark RSI - Visor problem

Not sure if I have a problem or not with my visor on my shark RSI helmet.

The visor doesn't seem to shut 100%, which is ok at the moment because it's quite warm, and also with the rain (not that I ride in the rain if i can help it ) it stops any fogging /misting.

It became an issue when i turned my head to look over my right hand shoulder whilst on the autobhan, and my visor flipped up!!!

Has anyone else got an RSI helmet with this "problem"?

Otherwise it's back to the shop i got it from in a few weeks time!

I don't know about yours but on my Arai theirs a little pit of plastic attached to the visor where you hook your thumb to open the visor.

It slides between two positions.

[1] Allows you to lock the visor shut - I didn't realise why until I did a shoulder check at 100mph and it flipped up!! Now I always lock it down

[2] Aloows you to have the visor fully down but this keep an air gap to help against misting up. I've never needed to use this as my Pinlock anti-fog works really well.

Perhaps you've something similar, perhaps on the visor on a switch/lever somewhere on the helmet?

Not familiar with the Shark range of helmets but could it be that if you've changed or removed your visor at some stage, have you put it back on correctly on the locating lugs at the side of the helmet?

I say this as on my AGV I once didn't seat the visor correctly into the retention cogs and it didn't close 100% as you have descirbed.....

Yes - def sounds like you have something not adjusted quite right as my AGV does this if one of the adjusters isn't set quite right.

Last night when doing shoulder checks at 90 (km/h) the visor flipped up again...

A bit of surfing later and i found this

And a whole load of other information and decent video clips on how to adjust/clean etc. etc.
