Default My First Bike

Nothing too exciting, just a little 125cc to practice on before I do my test. Been promised a near identical trade-in price to what I paid for it if I upgrade to the new Honda that I am thinking of...

A first bike is always exciting!!

Have fun but be careful. I'd recommend getting your training as early as possible rather than getting a load of miles under your belt first. Early training will stop you learning bad habits and it will make you safer in those early miles.

Good luck

Thanks, wise advice indeed. I plan to rebook this week, but getting on a course at the moment seems next to impossible. Everything pre-new test is booked up and no one quite knows how things are going to go once the new test is introduced (and apparently if it will be introduced at the end of September as planned due to lack of centres).

I am so glad i did mine in June... I mean I have had this lovely summer to get plenty of miles in the saddle .... NOT

Seriously... I am glad that I did mine when i did before the super-centres and extended test came in

Nice to see you've got a set of wheels Sam... I wasn't aware the bike test was changing AGAIN... what do you have to do now? Aptitude tests?

Anything that makes riders more safe on the roads can't be a bad thing, but I recon increasing awareness of motorcycles with tests in the car licence would be more usefull.

I had a bike licence before a car licence, so a couple of years ago... but even way back then I remember thinking how rotten it was that they had piled on load of additional parts to the test (CBT)... those were the days
