Probably
The problem with that kind of power from that kind of capacity engine is its just plain not going to last.
I'd prefer 200bhp with rock solid reliabilty to 800bhp and a service every 500 miles.

thing is if you can afford to run a performance car then you should be able to afford the maintenance..

Its not just about performance, its about practicality.
Whats the point if its got to spend a week in the garage after a days driving?

hehe never a truer word spoken, i used to own a landrover, and my fellow offroader spent more time underneath them than in them (snapped half shafts, gearbox woes, damage etc).
i didnt take mine offroad too much (it was my daily drive too) but when i did, i used to break something, or dent it..
