  1. Does it need to be Windows? Just asking, because the chrome books are pretty joyous these days if you just want to browse the web and such like... maybe something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Computers-Accessories/Acer-CB3-431-Chromebook-Celeron-Storage/B01J3UVWKO/ref=lp_758129031_1_2/258-4352715-1857648?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1491445141&sr=1-2 for 274 quid.
  2. So bloody slow!

OK all fixed apparently... As you were.
  3. So bloody slow!

Please but away your tray tables and fasten your seatbelts, we may experience turbulence for the next couple of days while IPB gets their license server fixed up so we can speak to it. Will let you know when it's sorted.
  4. http://tyresmoke.net/

Seems to work for me on mobile... @Chick does it give an error or anything? Anyone else having dramas with mobiles?
  5. http://tyresmoke.net/

    Ta. All fixed.
  6. Ooooo! New shiny forum!

Try going here: http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/followed/ And then unfollow stuff you don't want to get notifications about. Also you can go here http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/notifications/options/ and make sure you're not auto following new stuff... Only get one update a week etc. Hope that helps.
  7. Ooooo! New shiny forum!

    Looks like it's going to be slow for a fair while yet... Processing RebuildPosts - IPS\forums\Topic\Post - 514901 / 1794136 1.2M+ posts to go.... I blame @NewNiceMrMe
  8. Virus or bug?

That should do it, again. Sorry, my bad.
  9. Virus or bug?

Please can you try again and let me know if it's still doing it? It's not a virus, but it could be this thing called mod_pagespeed - i've just turned it off.
  10. So bloody slow!

Morning Campers, soon as the football has finished I'll take a look. Next time it's slow can someone let me know what the time is please. Ta.
  11. OSX Mavericks ?

The only i got from it was that it massively improved the use of a second screen on my laptop. You couldn't use both of them properly before mavericks and now they work completely joyously independently, which is nice. Other than that, didn't really notice much difference.
  12. (Another - not really!) Home network query

Is your phone an android? You could use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer&hl=en to check what's going on with the SSIDs and also (if your phone supports it) flip between 2.4/5GHz to check the SSIDs are being broadast on the right channels/frequencies. Failing that you can stick inSSIDer on your Windows Laptop http://files.metageek.net/downloads/inSSIDer-installer.msi To check the network connectivity you could try pinging using your from phone using this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.overlook.android.fing&hl=en (again android only). Also check the network strength using either of the above. You did lose me at current, but as far as i know, a repeater wouldn't have a cabled connection to the network. That's more of an access point. It might be you've created a switching loop of power and might by plugging your repeater into the the same LAN (assuming all your access points just bridge between your WifI/LAN, which is what most access points do).
  13. Top Gear test track now on Google Street View

All news stig i'm afraid... some say, English is his third language. I think it was all pretty tongue in cheek though. Haha i think it's illegal in Australia!
  14. Top Gear test track now on Google Street View

Looks like Gambon could use some work http://www.tyresmoke.net/news/top-gear-test-track-street-view/
  15. Broken Stuff

Hmmm that's no good.... so what happens if you paste the URL into a post on the iPad? Oh and are you seeing the mobile theme or the full on desktop theme?
  16. Jesus!!.. feck me!!

Slotting it in the wrong hole is one thing, but needing a mechanic to pull it out is a whole different ball game!

  19. automatic.com

This looks pretty interesting... it's like vag-com... but pretty. http://www.automatic.com/ It's a shame you can't change boost via the OBD-II port, the app with just this single button would have been awesome
  20. Tapatalk?

Given the new mobile interface of joy (which IMHO seems pretty good) do we still need tapatalk.
  21. Broken Stuff

Sadly not. I spent all weekend bolting on some stabilisers, which seems to have worked. I'll get this sorted this week.
  22. VW R36 - upgrades time

The joys of luxury car tax hey! Only bad thing** about living in Aus... ** Sharks, snakes and spiders should probably be on the list.
  23. ADSL problem has me foxed...

If you leave it long enough, does it ever speed up again? How are you testing what speed you're getting? speedtest.net? If so does the graph start quick and then slow down, or is it constant? You checked to see if there's a newer firmware for your router? The latest is 3.3.7.4 and was released in April apparently http://www.draytek.com.au/downloads.php?type=Vigor2820_series
