  1. Back on ebay again due to non-payment... audi a8 4.0 tdi tuning module chip express | eBay
  2. I found some more info on it here Diesel Tuning Chip for Audi A8 D3 4.0 TDI 275PS / 202kW / 271bhp
  3. Chaps, the car's long gone and I just found this in the garage. I have to say it was pretty good, even when left on '5'- in the middle, as it were, it still gave a healthy performance boost and increase in MPG. At level 7 it felt real quick- I never dared go any higher! Anyway, it's on eBay now- hope it's ok to post a link! audi a8 4.0 tdi tuning module chip express | eBay
  4. Mine was an absolute pain in the ars* when it did this- kept stranding me everywhere. The AA will back the offeding brake off so you can drive it. From memory, you need to remove the motor from the caliper and wind the brake off, then you can pull the fuse on it (fuse by the battery), although this isn't really a very safe practice. Mine turned out to be a handbrake ECU failure (it was under water on the boot floor), sorted by the audi dealer, then it did the same thing a couple of months later!
  5. I suspect there's more than one. The one that Audi said it would be hasn't sorted the problem, which is now becoming a total nightmare. Think we're about 20 hours in to the job and still no luck, and Audi won't give us wiring diagrams. Any ideas? Cheers everyone for your contributions.
  6. Its at the front, under the aircon compressor
  7. It does- I'm very grateful, thank you
  8. Thanks for that- do you have a bigger pic or link? Real hard to see as its so small. Cheers
  9. Guys, sorry to post again, but need to know where the engine temps sensor is on the D3 4.0TDi. Mechanic cant find it! Thanks Simon.
  10. Hi guys, going to put a set of winter boots on the A8; we spent every day of the snowy period last year trudging backwards and forwards on a 120 mile trip for the wife to have radiotherapy, going to do the same with dad this year, and the car needs tyres anyway. I'm on 255 45 18s at the moment - can I go to 235 50 18 without any probs? Standard D3 18" rims. Thanks - and any other recommendations welcome!
  11. Have you seen this? Might be of help. Sadly it didn't work for me though
  12. I'm using the Falken FK452's as well, have used them and their predecessors on Evo's and Imprezas for many years and love them. Whilst they are equally good on the D3, I find I'm going through fronts at quite a rate- the shoulders are only lasting 6000 miles or so- I put that down to the weight of the car, and my arguably 'enthusiastic' driving style.
