  1. Came out of my Mk2 TT, but will fit a wide range of Audi's/VW's. All buttons work 100%. My car has only covered 19k miles, so isn't overly worn and just has the odd mark. Wheel only, airbag not included. £220 including postage.
  2. VW RNS 510 sat nav

    Selling the sat nav from my GTi. This is an incredible unit which has full touchscreen, built in sat nav, DVD playback and SD card slot. It's a version A with 1100 firmware, so it doesn't suffer from the battery drain issue of later models. Very good condition with no marks on the screen. Comes with code and GPS antenna. £470.
  3. Can anyone tell me what diameter the centre caps are in the Monza II alloys? Or even is it measured at the face where the opening is biggest, or where the clip goes?
  4. Mk5 Golf wiper fault

    9 times out of 10 when i turn my wipers on to any stage nothing happens. They work when i pull them towards me to clean the windscreen but only come on otherwise if i press down or pull up hard. However, if i leave them on the intermitent stage then indicate left, they will come on. Anyone come across this before? Sounds like it could be a fauly switch in the stalk somewhere or an electronic thing, but im not going to go replacing parts willy nilly.

    Would the springs from a 530 Sport fit in an SE model, or are the shocks not compatible? Thanks.
  6. E38 stereo

    Basically, im looking to fit an after market cd player in my 728. At present, it has the standard tape bit along side the coin holder. Can the tape deck be exchanged for the after market unit, or is it not that simple? How would that affect the functioning of the computer, would it work without the stereo going through it? Any help appreciated. Regards, Ian

    Lol, indeed. I was genuinely speechless when he said "and whats that". Cheers, ill get it ordered here. When looking at the engine bay, theres 2 valves very similar behind the cover. Is it the one on the left or right?
  8. I called into my local dealers to get a 130tdi N75 valve, only to be told that term wasnt familiar. He gave me a print out of the engine diagram on their computer and said it could be one of three. Could anyone tell me if its part 13,14 or 15?
  9. Directed are good indeed. It all boils down to how much you want to spend really. I have a Phoenix Gold Xenon amp Powering 12" RE SE sub, and it is a great combination...but there are hundreds of others out there. I had two 12" JL W3's before, and the JL are a great sub requiring very little power. Ideally i wanted a 12W6v2, but funds didnt allow it.

  11. My 115 PD Bora has served me well so far, and my plan was to change to a 320d in the following weeks. However, ive decided to go down the sensible route of purchasing a house, thus delaying the new car until next year. However, the Bora just doesnt have enough spice to excite me. Ive been anti-remaps since they became popular, but i phoned my insurance today out of curiosity as i know they are a way of large gains, for little(ish) money. Only to be greeted with a ridiculous amount on top of my current premium. So my question is, what fairly cheap methods are available for getting more power from my car? Im not looking vast amounts, even just a little bit. Id also prefer it lower down, from standing start etc. the power at the top end is ample. I see the BMC site shows gains of 7hp from a Carbon airbox usually. Would one of these, or a carbonio be something to consider? Im open to any suggestions.

    I tried this in my Bora...followed simple instructions and took it for a spin, but to no avail. I checked the wires gogin into the fuse box, but they were grand. I since lost interest and the stalk has remained functionless!

  15. I got Eibach 30mm springs and Bilstein shocks upon reccomendation my many other folk using the same set up + they were a great choice. I didnt want it any lower as i wanted to maintain some comfort, but visually it just reduced the arch gap by a suitable amount. The handling in corners is just totaly unreal too, i wouldnt have expected such a difference but theres no body roll with them. I too am a student, but if you buy cheap springs you are going to regret it as you will be shaken all over the place. Especially with the 18s, the ride will be crap. You could get away with keeping the standard shocks for 30mm springs if you were really strapped for cash, but anything over that you do need shocks too.
