  1. what polish?

I've had experience of this, albeit on an older car with hard paint. Sometimes good ole T-cut will do the trick. I recently bought some products by a little known company called Bilt and Hamber. They make Clay, waxes, lubcricants and anti rust products, but their Autobalm polish works a treat. Worth a try. bilthamber.com.
