  1. UK to USA £69 one-way, or £129 Return!

Hmmmm . . . I want a custom turbo from a US supplier. The shipping and import duties will be significantly more than a return flight and won't make for the same story.
  2. M135i

Get a switchable system. Look up electric exhaust cutout valves. Have it running through the silencer normally and then push a button a button to divert through a straight pipe hidden underneath or at the side.
  3. M135i

330dcoupe - whereabouts in the NE are you? I may be able to recommend some very good exhaust companies.
  4. New Mustang

Bloke down the road supplemented his beige Volvo estate with a yellow V8 Mustang. He looks like Penfold driving a banana.
  5. FREDDY in his S63 AMG

This was it 18 months ago: https://www.carthrottle.com/post/wodmz46/ It's been Matt white with Gold wheels and accents for the Modball rally and is now back to blue over black.
  6. FREDDY in his S63 AMG

A friend down the road has a CL63 - he was going to sell it when his Hurracan turns up but told me he can't face the horrific depreciation so will keep it and sell his i8. The sale of his i8 fell through at the last minute so he sold his boat. First world problems huh. The guy round the corner had a white R8 V10 which was then wrapped matte black - obviously nobody told him it wasn't the 90's anymore. He decided it wasn't "look at me" enough so has just got a McLaren MPC-650-GT-12-KFC-VAT-RIP (???) but in bright orange. There is also a maroon P1 holed up in a guy's garage here too - I've only seen it once - on Swiss plates I think. Someone is renting one of the biggest houses on the estate and that is part of his accoutrements!
  7. Inexpensive 40" smart tv?

We have a woman at work who most times she calls me I let it go to answerphone. She usually asks the same question in 3 different ways before answering it and then thanking me for helping her. I then send her a text saying "no problem, let me know if you need anything else"
  8. "Homework" Laptop - any suggestions?

Dropped into this thread as we need a homework laptop too so following with interest. If that's a general offer to all Chas then let me know - ta.
  9. MPG in my A8

He does sound like a character from a Soho musical.
  10. Cheap flights to US East Coast

    Don't take the kids?
  11. 2017 Fitness Thread

Garcon - sent you a messenger message
  12. LED Headlamps

I had a friend with a narrow garage and a Lotus Elise. He used to park it with the roof off and hung a ladder across the ceiling to monkey bar in and out of the car.
  13. Cambridge Autogleam - 2011

And we all know how slippy your driveway can be.
  14. 2017 Fitness Thread

That's a tough target - but one which will hopefully keep you focussed and bring the other parts of your life under control so good luck. I've spent this year working on strength, gone from 11st 9 to 12st 8 and 10% fat to 14%. I look a hell of a lot better now than I did 12 months ago though as I was heroin chic skinny. Aiming to keep my weight similar or just under 13st and then drop 2-3% fat from Feb onwards. Don't want to cut too much as I'm really enjoying pushing myself and challenging my PBs on the core movements at the moment. Edit: 2 years ago I was 15st 1lb about now and had the body fat percentage of a cheeseburger. Results are harder to come by at 36 compared to some of the children in the gym but better late than never!
  15. Cambridge Autogleam - 2011

Get a foam lance and give that to the kids. That way they'all have a whale of a time painting the car white. And you'll wash the car extra fast as you dash around trying to avoid them spraying you.* *ask me how I know
  16. Wet car?

If I've had to wet vac the carpets out and they're still damp I put a dehumidifier in the footwell for a couple of hours. Obviously this only works if you already have a dehumidifier.
  17. CHAVMOBILE Spotting...

Put 4 (cock) rings on the badge and he'd have it!
  18. The Grand Tour

My 9 year old girl is getting into it.
  19. Forums & Max Power sorts

Didn't 5th Gear do a thing a few years ago where they took the same car and applied different mods to it and compared lap times? Pretty sure it was them and the result were that a day's driver training, followed by better tyres led to quicker lap times than a mild power bump or new suspension.
  20. Forums & Max Power sorts

Spoilers that slow you down, hmmm I'm saying nothing. (I may or may not have bought a 968 Turbo RS carbon adjustable spoiler as a Xmas present to self - it goes from standard to full-on airbrake depending upon the track/car balance)
  21. Forums & Max Power sorts

I think modifying your daily driver is usually akin to ruining it. The more I've modified my Twbo for track days, the more of an event it is to drive - but if it was my daily driver it'd get very boring very quickly having my fillings rattled out.
  22. What a tool. Should take his licence from him

Car geek time - the interior of the camera car doesn't look like a Lambo to me, Merc AMG perhaps?
  23. expensive numberplates

I saw M155 KFC on a silver Boxster today. The woman who got out had a wedding ring on and was no spring chicken so lies all round. I also saw K9 NYE on a Hyundai Santa Fe and the driver was a fat balding white bloke rather than a gloriously unhinged American.
  24. VW Golf GTI Clubsport S lapped the 'Ring @ 06:47:19

People trying to flip them for £50k
  25. 944 Turbo S - Project Time

You'd better warn Garcon then - last time he occupied the passenger seat he mumbled something about lateral grip before clearly stating "my stomach's feeling a bit spongy". Theyre not replacing standard road tyres though, I've got 3 sets of wheels and these are the most road biased tyres I have so I'm well used to sticky rubber (oo-er).
