  3. Hi, I have the above factory installed to my 03 M3, I've turned off the radio using (for those familiar with this unit) using the botton left power button. The screen is still operational for the tv / sat nav and computer. However this is now where my problem is, i can't turn the radio back on, the power button makes a 'click' when pushed but doesn't power up?! Is this as simple as the switch being defective - as it's been suggested that a simple reset (remove the fuse and or disconnet the battery) may fix this? Has anybody else had simliliar issues? Is there any risk to restting anything else by disconnecting the battery ( have heard of varying stories about this impacting ECU ). I've spoken to a local ICE retailer near me, he wanted me to bring in the head unit (out of the car) to 'have a look at' but the removal itself looks a complete misson! cheers Leno

  5. After reading a review on my a car review I came across this: "The boot features a collapsible wall so that when the hood is not in use, more boot space is freed up. Additionally the entire roof mechanism can be removed as a cartridge when using the optional hard top giving maximum boot capacity" Has anybody heard or attempted this before?, the idea of being able to remove the folded roof is cool, especially as I've being using the hardtop since Oct and could do with the extra boot space. Thanks Leno
  6. Hello all, looking for help. Does anybody know of any 'good' BMW breakers, more-so those likely to have M3 spares. After my altercation with a deer on boxing day I'm in desperate need of a bonnet, o/s wing and bumper for my E46. I'm trying to wear the cost of the repair myself rather than put my self to the ransom of my insurance company. thanks Leno
  7. Bikes 'n bus lanes

it's still a bit hit and miss as to which ones can be used ( not that i know anybody that's got a ticket for it yet ) but you can't use the bus lanes sarf of the river.
  8. Afraid not, thought the local Game-Keeper would have taken it after he shot it but didn't. *wasn't the 'killer'
  9. Hit a deer whilst driving the lanes in Essex yesterday afternoon! Can't see any damage within the engine bay but defo wing and bumper, not sure about repairing the hole in the bonnet though.
  10. E46 'M' Mode

    Sorry what's MK60?
  11. E46 'M' Mode

Hi all. having flicked the owners manual a few times and without wanting to walk into BMW and ask -how do i activate (not that i'd use it) the M track mode? The manual makes reference to the 1/0 button on the wheel but this only sets the cruise? cheers Leno (I don't think it needs to go back anymore )
  12. E46 M3 Owners Manual

love the feedback - I've spent wisely :-) so any tips on cleaning / maintaining and prolonging the life of the hood ( there a tiny but of green in the corner ). cheers

  14. E46 M3 Owners Manual

only had mine since Saturday, it's seen nothing but the rain so far. It's standard, (the way i like stuff) but mooching about to see if i can get my hands on the hard top and wind deflector. wanted a carbon black but without exception all had the imola leather which I think looks good but would get bored of, settled for predictable silver and black.
