Hi all, I have 2006 A4 Avant 1.9TDI 102,000 miles, FASH Just started to notice that when sat in 4th at say 35mph or 60mph in 5th and I go to accelerate (without changing gear), instead of labouring slightly and slowly building up speed in an even manner, the engine pulses at about 1 second intervals and this can be heared in the engine tone. The pulsing cannot be seen on the rev counter or speedo. Under normal gear changes there isn't an issue and under hard acceleration everything is fine. It's just when I'm being lazy and can't be bothered to change down to accelerate. I know the engine will labour but it isn't a slow, smooth build up anymore. Any ideas. Thanks.

I had the same problem with my Vista machine. I was advised to create a 'true administrator' account in Vista and load Elsawin in this account and it worked. Apparently if you have yourself set as an Administrator in Vista you're not actually a full blown one! There are videos on You-tube which explain how to create a 'true administrator' account - hope this helps. Also, when you do get Elsawin up and running and you have inputted your car details only press the 'OK' button to start the programme as the 'Start Enquiry' button tries to access the internet system and fails.
