  1. RS3 - Saloon!

Thats a pretty good shout. I've not driven one but been co pilot and they are pretty rapid. I know its not an 'M' car, but a 340i with BMW M performance remap / exhaust is also quite a rapid machine and estate format.
  2. RS3 - Saloon!

I can see you in this ...
  3. RS3 - Saloon!

Try Ian Ross at Specialist cars in Luton, they have quite a few M cars come through so might have a good selection. I'd be wanting closer to 20% on an M3.
  4. RS3 - Saloon!

Factory order = custom colour, go on you know you want to......
  5. RS3 - Saloon!

I've said it before in this thread and your other one, having owned a couple of VW Group cars over the years, they would have to pay me good money to trade my M2 in, in fat they'd have to pay me and give me a car. Drive it with no respect and it will think of a nice inventive way to kill you, but I doubt any of us here drive with no respect for the car. The M2 is such a great package that you need to spend some time in it, it is so different to my 3 series, far more agile, and I dont drive it any differently to any other car i've had. Granted it has more power than most ive owned but it comutes to work as well as anythign i've had, but even then it pops, bangs and farts and makes me grin even at 30.
  6. BMW M2 Competition

Yeah I'd have the M2 any day - the competition looks awesome, in fact I want to change mine now As Andrrew says the M4CS looks pretty awesome. Having had a couple of BMWs in the last couple of years, it will be along time until I go back to Audi. I test drove the RS3 before the M2 was ordered and don't regret my decision one bit.
  7. RS3 - Saloon!

Does GDPR apply to Ian? Isn't he now supposed to contact everyone he holds data on and obtain specific approval to retain that data? :D
  8. RS3 - Saloon!

The problem is that there are some distinctly average cars are very stupid money. I saw a Nova the other day go past £50k - stupid money.
  9. Post a pic of your car

I'm really pleased there are people left in the world who have a good eye for colour (y)
  10. RS3 - Saloon!

The M2 is our second car and used to cart kids around. the rear isn't bad for daily use but we wouldn't use it on the trip to Spain
  11. RS3 - Saloon!

    Totally agree with Mac.
  12. RS3 - Saloon!

Oh well if you want input I test drove one and brought the M2 instead. The RS3 was really fast, sounds fantastic and at the same time kind of dull, i just didnt love it. The M2 on the other hand is fantastic every day (granted Ive only covered 2k miles in 5 months) but I love to get in and drive it, for me it had something that I ant quite put my finger on, but the RS3 just didnt have it.
  13. RS3 - Saloon!

I asked at Audi UK and my mate said they are penalising dealers who offer large discounts on RS models by removing build slots from them. You'll get discounts on those that Audi say, but the RS3 isnt one of them. Massive discounts on the outgoing 3 series though
  14. Bloodbath....

Which gen Type R? I love them, they look fast even when they are not moving :D
  15. Post a pic of your car

Sorry to hear about your dad Thorburn. There is no such thing as too lairy. my new steed.
  16. "Relay Crime" reality?

I have a metal key case screwed to the back of a steel beam. Should work on the same principle.
  17. Hmmmmm

Was in Swindon Porsche today to look at a Macan GTS to replace out car with. While there saw this little thing: I love it, think it looks great. What is the thoughts on the 924 though - likely to see much increase in value? I'm quite tempted to buy it for a summer run around.
  18. V 3UTT

Saw this on the M1 today on an elise being driven by a lady. Number plate just caught my eye, but couldnt see inside to see if it was a famous Butt inside.
  19. Porsche Macan 2.0T

Car is sold now. Did I mention my thoughts about Silverstone....
  20. Porsche Macan 2.0T

Looking at changing the car, had some offers to buy it from a few main dealers, so thought i'd mention it here. Sapphire Blue 2.0 T petrol, PDK (they all are) June 2015 car covered 28k miles. Full service history. 21" Platinum Sport Classic Alloys, full colour centres/ Bi-Xenons with PDLS and washers with gloss black covers, Tinted tail lights, Alloy fuel filler cap, Park assist front and rear with rear camera, Panoramic Roof, Privacy Glass, Roof Rails in Black, Monochrome exterior pack, Leather interior, Extended leather to include dash and doors and centre console, Logo embossed in headrests, grey seat belts, heated front seats, memory drivers seat, PASM, adaptive power steering, 75l fuel tank, Bose, Nav / phone / USB / HDD / Bluetooth media streaming. Rear roll up sun blinds, Car was a shade over £55k when new, best offer to buy (not PX as it seems dealers want to buy these at the moment) I have had is £36,000. If anyone is wanting to match that I'd rather the dealer didn't make another £9k on top of it. BAD points - car has a parking dent in the rear door, one alloy is curbed and tyres are at 4mm of tread. On a cruise this is returning around 35mpg, around town late 20's. Happy to answer any questions.
  21. Post a pic of your car

Shot across the top of minty plus it’s new companion.
  22. M2 or Macan

    So which would you choose?
  23. Porsche Macan 2.0T

Still got it. Dent is fixed by Porsche silverstone scum bag lying cheating robbing barstewards. new car has arrived but I have a dilemma. Dealer has interested parties for the M2, I love the Macan and can’t decide...
  24. I was reading earlier that Silverstone is top crowd puller at 350k. I know living locally it has plans for additional hotel accommodation and further expansions all with planning approval pending some recent revisions. None of this is cheap, and if they can't pull a profit then why continue with expansion plans. Its only business, you don't do it to go under, I can understand why the owners are pissed, if your top venue can't make a profit then that doesn't look good.
