  1. RS3 - Saloon!

Oh well if you want input I test drove one and brought the M2 instead. The RS3 was really fast, sounds fantastic and at the same time kind of dull, i just didnt love it. The M2 on the other hand is fantastic every day (granted Ive only covered 2k miles in 5 months) but I love to get in and drive it, for me it had something that I ant quite put my finger on, but the RS3 just didnt have it.
  2. RS3 - Saloon!

I asked at Audi UK and my mate said they are penalising dealers who offer large discounts on RS models by removing build slots from them. You'll get discounts on those that Audi say, but the RS3 isnt one of them. Massive discounts on the outgoing 3 series though
  3. Bloodbath....

Which gen Type R? I love them, they look fast even when they are not moving :D
  4. Post a pic of your car

Sorry to hear about your dad Thorburn. There is no such thing as too lairy. my new steed.
  5. "Relay Crime" reality?

I have a metal key case screwed to the back of a steel beam. Should work on the same principle.
  6. Hmmmmm

Was in Swindon Porsche today to look at a Macan GTS to replace out car with. While there saw this little thing: I love it, think it looks great. What is the thoughts on the 924 though - likely to see much increase in value? I'm quite tempted to buy it for a summer run around.
  7. V 3UTT

Saw this on the M1 today on an elise being driven by a lady. Number plate just caught my eye, but couldnt see inside to see if it was a famous Butt inside.
  8. Porsche Macan 2.0T

Car is sold now. Did I mention my thoughts about Silverstone....
  9. Porsche Macan 2.0T

Looking at changing the car, had some offers to buy it from a few main dealers, so thought i'd mention it here. Sapphire Blue 2.0 T petrol, PDK (they all are) June 2015 car covered 28k miles. Full service history. 21" Platinum Sport Classic Alloys, full colour centres/ Bi-Xenons with PDLS and washers with gloss black covers, Tinted tail lights, Alloy fuel filler cap, Park assist front and rear with rear camera, Panoramic Roof, Privacy Glass, Roof Rails in Black, Monochrome exterior pack, Leather interior, Extended leather to include dash and doors and centre console, Logo embossed in headrests, grey seat belts, heated front seats, memory drivers seat, PASM, adaptive power steering, 75l fuel tank, Bose, Nav / phone / USB / HDD / Bluetooth media streaming. Rear roll up sun blinds, Car was a shade over £55k when new, best offer to buy (not PX as it seems dealers want to buy these at the moment) I have had is £36,000. If anyone is wanting to match that I'd rather the dealer didn't make another £9k on top of it. BAD points - car has a parking dent in the rear door, one alloy is curbed and tyres are at 4mm of tread. On a cruise this is returning around 35mpg, around town late 20's. Happy to answer any questions.
  10. Post a pic of your car

Shot across the top of minty plus it’s new companion.
  11. M2 or Macan

    So which would you choose?
  12. Porsche Macan 2.0T

Still got it. Dent is fixed by Porsche silverstone scum bag lying cheating robbing barstewards. new car has arrived but I have a dilemma. Dealer has interested parties for the M2, I love the Macan and can’t decide...
  13. I was reading earlier that Silverstone is top crowd puller at 350k. I know living locally it has plans for additional hotel accommodation and further expansions all with planning approval pending some recent revisions. None of this is cheap, and if they can't pull a profit then why continue with expansion plans. Its only business, you don't do it to go under, I can understand why the owners are pissed, if your top venue can't make a profit then that doesn't look good.
  14. Pretty quick :o

So a production car that manages a 9.56 @140mph 1/4 mile, thats not bad going really.....
  15. A45 AMG

Just curious if anyone has any ideas what discounts are available on these? Cheers muchly.
  16. Hmmmmm

Hi Max, we've been looking at a GTS for a while, the problem is that ours is now 2 years old, 24k miles and very much part of the family and every time we look we are really struggling to chop it in. I'd love a bit more power, but everything else the car does is fantastic. All I'm missing other than power is a tow bar and that can be retro fitted for a jaw dropping price. Mine is a Sapphire blue 2.0t petrol., it still looks good, people still stop and look (not many bright blue barges around I guess) and other than a slight niggle with the sat nav i'd thoroughly recommend one. If you look at the Audi offering, make sure you drive back to back int he same day. the SQ5 is probably a little quicker in a straight line, but once you start driving it around corners the Macan drives like a car, you do feel the weight, but its sat a lot lower than the audi so it deals with it all very well. If I do decide to get rid i'll let you know.
  17. Maserati

Was in the new Levante earlier today, lovely cabin space, felt quite a bit bigger car than the Macan, looked good in the white, but boot space for a big car felt small (Ours isnt huge, but this felt smaller) - it also feels quite similar tot he Jag F pace - are they same platform? similar price to what we're looking at, but in the back of my mind I have real concerns about Maserati residuals and reliability - but maybe these are unfounded now, any views? Oh and in the same showroom - Matt Black GTO - my son loved it.
  18. Hmmmmm

I'm not a fan of the black. The one thing about the white one that annoyed me was the dash was split. They've done a rebuild but left the dash, makes me wonder what else they over looked. Swindon had a couple of nice older 911's as well :D 1 pack of KP salted penuts for the Merc?
  19. Hmmmmm

Yes that was it - 924 1988 'le mans' edition.
  20. School trip dilemma

I'd let mine go - we were due to go and see Arianna Grande on Friday at the O2 and were still going until the concert was cancelled. There is risk, but there is risk everywhere - as many minsters will be in home constituencies you might argue that places outside of London have a greater risk. I fully understand your concern, but I wouldn't consider this to be higher risk than many other activities on Thursday.
  21. 720 Wop

As no one else has been nice enough to offer. You'll clearly need help keeping all these cars warm all year, so i'm more than happy to give you a hand, put a few miles on them, etc. Just let me know
  22. Post a pic of your car

Have been considering the kit for the Citroen to turn it into one of these - very tempted.
