  1. MK Meet - Weds 5th Dec

Great to see y'all - good turn out, good company, good food! MK goes on hiatus for a while now.... monthly meets resume from April which will be the 15th anniversary of the MK meet!! In the meantime, there will be a Weds 6th February winter warmer curry meet in Buckingham if there is the demand. I will message the regulars around a fortnight before hand, and subject to hands, I will post a thread! If no curry thread appears on here, see you in April!
  2. Wednesday 5th December, 6:30pm onwards at Ye Olde Swan, Woughton on the Green, Milton Keynes, just off the A421. Ye Olde Swan has been our home for 2 years now: lovely outside garden area which we enjoyed over summer 2018, cosy 16th century core now we are well into the colder half of the year (no Disney windmills here!) plus most importantly really great food! Following a truly excellent return visit to the curry house in Buckingham last month, we revert to our regular venue for our Christmas meet. The plan going forward into 2019 is to resume monthly meets from April onwards when BST returns, with an optional 'winter warmer' curry meet in February again if there is enough interest. 6:30pm onwards, any enthusiast welcome, not just VAG and / or Porsche! Usual suspects please post your interest, potential MK meet newbies please post below so we can look out and welcome you. The meet is posted on RS246, Audi SRS, the S2 Forum and TSN. Table booked for 7:30pm, although we will almost certainly wander inside earlier given it will be dark and freezing, number required before the night, hence the roll call below.... Ye Olde Swan Newport Road Woughton on the Green Milton Keynes Buckinghamshire MK6 3BS 01908679489 The bit highlighted in red on the second map is the road through the pub - you can access from both ends. Congregate at the north end of the car park - the four spaces by the red arrow are the biggest for A8s + RS6s etc

  8. Bucks Curry Meet - Weds 7th Nov

Great to see y'all! Really good meet despite the rain - awesome curry and superb value for money! Thank you to the two people who let me know they were unable to make it - I let the restaurant know at lunchtime which they appreciated. Next meet - Weds 5th Dec at usual MK pub - table already booked Another curry Weds 6th Feb in Buckingham if people are up for it?!
  9. Following an excellent curry back in February at Red Chilli Gold on Buckingham High Street (as recommended by Nik Richard + John who are all local), those who attended have been calling for a return visit. After messaging a few of the regulars, there is a request to meet up this month Weds 7th November ahead of the already-booked December Christmas meet at the regular MK venue. We probably won't be gawping at cars outside for too long, so the current informal plan is congregate from 6:45pm onward, table to be booked for 7:30pm. If the weather is freezing and people have all arrived, we can always wander inside earlier. There is a large car park directly behind the curry house signed Cornwalls Meadow Car Park, next to a Waitrose. The car park is 300+ spaces, pay and display, but free after 5pm. Keep an eye on Googlemaps - I believe the High street is being dug up, meaning you may have to arrive from the north east if the road is shut In order for us to book the table, please post in here by say 12 noon Monday (5th) if you are coming! 10. Bucks Curry Meet - Weds 7th Nov

Table booked 7:30pm this Weds 7th Nov for 8 people Last time the place was rammed and the restaurant would not have been able to add extra seats to our table 'upon arrival'. If you wish to attend, please please please put your name down (or message me through the forum / text me if you have my number) and I will extend the table before the night! Please aim for the parking spot as highlighted in red on the map above from 6:45pm onwards

  13. MK Meets - Weds 3rd Oct

Apologies for belated pics and close of this meet thread! Last BST meet of the year, just the four of us present as we head into the crapper six months weather. A four cylinder, five cylinder, six cylinder, and, er, a James Dyson! December Christmas meet already booked at usual venue, Weds 5th Dec. The pub have already stated they will need the number before we attend because they anticipate being busy, I will post the thread in plenty of time, and please please post your name down if you would like to attend. In the meantime, there will be a Weds 7th November curry meet in Buckingham (just like Feb 2018) if there is the demand. I will message the regulars around a fortnight before hand, and subject to hands, I will post a thread! If no November thread appears on here, see you in December!
  14. Wednesday 3rd October, 6:30pm onwards at Ye Olde Swan, Woughton on the Green, Milton Keynes, just off the A421. Ye Olde Swan has been our home for 2 years now: lovely outside garden area which we have enjoyed over summer 2018, cosy 16th century core approaching the colder half of the year (no Disney windmills here!) plus most importantly really great food! Another decent turn out last month, and as mentioned at the close of last months thread, good to get the thoughts of those present for the MK Meet going forward into 2019. The last BST meet of the year would normally see the end of our monthly meets - however we may go for another 'winter warmer' curry in November if that's what people want ahead of a Christmas meet at the usual pub. As ever, the attendees make the MK meet what it is! 6:30pm onwards, any enthusiast welcome, not just VAG and / or Porsche! Usual suspects please post your interest, potential MK meet newbies please post below so we can look out and welcome you. The meet is posted on RS246, Audi SRS, the S2 Forum and TSN. Table booked for 7:30pm, although we may wander inside earlier given it will be dark by then, number required before the night, hence the roll call below.... 15. MK Meets - Weds 3rd Oct

    1. Ian_C 2. jamrowls 3. Greg 4. NikW See you down there chaps! Please please add your name to the list if you can make it! It is only fair to the pub that I let them know by 6:30pm how how large a table we need.
  16. 1999 Audi A4 Avant 2.8 quattro

    SOLD FOR ASKING PRICE
  17. July 1999 T facelift Audi A4 Avant 2.8 quattro, 193 bhp, manual, 157k, FSH, Agate grey, full black leather, heated fronts, armrest, 6CD Affectionately know as 'the snotter', I bought this 4 years ago after selling an immaculate B6 S4 Avant to fund a house renovation, but didn't want to be without the practicality of an estate car. I never planned on keeping it four years and 18k! I have just bought a B7 as a replacement estate, so its time to bid farewell to the B5. Available to view in Bedford, including throughout this BH weekend, fast train 35 mins from London etc if you want collecting from the station. Registered 5th July 1999, the service book has 12 stamps 1999-2011 (9 of which are Audi). There is a ring binder detailing services 2011 onward (plus a few earlier ones) plus invoices for cambelt and water pump in 2012 @ 129k, gearbox oil Jan 2013, and a reconditioned ABS unit Jan 2014. Summary of work completed since I purchased it Aug 2014 @ 139k: Sept 2014 - Rear disc and pads (Eurocarparts) Nov 2014 - Brackets + blowing exhaust welded including offside downpipe + Mot April 2015 - Front disc and pads (Pagid) + most recent air filter Oct 2015 - Engine flush + oil change + rear roll bar linkages + Mot Dec 2015 - Pollen filter + second hand replacement scuttle cover* *cracked pollen filter cover replaced and bulkhead drainage holes under battery cleaned Dec 2015 - Throttle position sensor replaced (Audi) Oct 2016 - Wheel alignment, new coolant header tank (TPS), most recent coolant change, most recent brake fluid change, Mot Sept 2017 - Most recent oil change Oct 2017 - Track rod end + Mot Current mot expiry 6th Nov 2018 Negatives - usual B5 issues of missing lines on the DIS, Concert stereo and 6CD changer work, but volume control does not - it's stuck at one volume, tailgate plinth bubbling, and knackered rear wiper motor. Air con worked when I got it but slowly became less effective. I asked my local garage to regas it last summer, but they were not able (ie. not allowed) to regas because the system failed the initial pressure test. The interior fans also have a mind of their own, they have always gone up and down in speed randomly as you drive, but more recently they have been slow to start after you start the engine, or spin for a while then slow down without you touching them as you drive. Drivers heated seat wires not very effective after 19 years and 157k of bums! Clutch was high when I bought it, 18k later I'm on the same clutch, no slip under normal driving, although it definitely is not going to allow you to do Fast and the Furious 'sidestep the clutch' quarter mile launches It's spent the last 3 years or so running S4 Avus 17s as per the final last pic which are not included in the sale, this has restricted which pics I can use on the Pistonheads ad! 1k Ownership thread https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/audi/a4/audi-a4-avant-2-8-quattro-leather-fsh-157k/8980059
  18. Untaxed car clamped

When tax discs were abolished and car tax no longer carries over between keepers (2014 iirc?) the insurance stipulation has been removed when taxing a vehicle Insurance can take a while to show on the MID when you commence a new policy, which would potentially block someone taxing a vehicle they were viewing buying and driving away immediately, hence you can now tax a car that isn't showing as insured
  19. 1999 Audi A4 Avant 2.8 quattro

On Autotrader. S4 alloys included at asking price.
  20. New pants please

Was chatting about this vid with a work mate earlier! Judging by how fast the camera car is approaching the roundabout and how late they leave their braking, and the fact the camera car doesn't stop and just drives away from the scene, looks like a bit of a race going on....
  21. 1999 Audi A4 Avant 2.8 quattro

Any sensible offers before I put this on Autotrader? Perfect station car! If you are wanting the S4 alloys, I am happy to let them go with the car as long as the asking price is met.
  22. 1999 Audi A4 Avant 2.8 quattro

I did wonder whether I'd need a fresh MOT when I advertised the A4 a fortnight ago to secure a sale, hence I put the B5 in for an inspection yesterday, and it passed its mot today with the only requirement being a new set of number plates. Mot expiry 6th September 2019. B5 Avus 17s with four matching Vredestein Ultrac Cento tyres (4 to 5mm) with late 2014 manufacture dates now available by negotiation separately (I thought I might need them temporarily for the B7, but this isn't the case) So if you want to work out a deal for the car and S4 wheels that would suit me perfectly http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Vredestein/Ultrac-Cento.htm
  23. MK Meet - Weds 5th Sept

Great to see you all! Only took a couple of snaps, sun was going down, and like last month some of our cars were parked singularly around the car park. Was good to get your thoughts for the MK Meet going forward - sticking with the same pub for 2019, continuing monthly through BST, next meet Weds 3rd October, and possibly a curry in Buckingham again for a change the month after, watch this space!
