2. Bluefin or Revo Remap

Having seen my dis display figures of some 44+ mpg on average, I can only echo Bens comments. The reality is I'm getting 36mpg which is incredibly frustrating I'd rathver know I'm getting that, and drive accordingly, rather than wondering if my car will actually get me to the next fuel stop based on the dis info displayed. Sounds like one I've recently had...I'll be visiting Shark for mine soon
  4. Audi A8 - B&O

Cheers Craig...just went out to the car, and everything is like nothing has happened!! Bloody things!! All working now
  5. Guys, I'm hoping that someone (most likely CraigyB ) can help. I've just got into my car after visiting the cinema (Mirror, Mirror is great BTW). And noticed that my tweeters didn't pop up out of the dash as they would normally. No audio coming from any of the speakers, in AMI, Radio, or Nav mode. And not able to access the Sound option on the menu. Tried shutting the car down a couple of times, and restarting the MMI, but to no avail. Anyone else experienced this? Cheers
  6. Home Cinema Speaker System

I bit the bullet today. I'd been drooling over the Q Acoustics system, and today drove a hard bargain, and bagged me a system with 2050 fronts, 2010 rears, 2010 centre (proper one, not just another 2010), and a 2070 sub.....Christ!!! What a cracking system, need to let it warm up, and then really tweak the settings to make it "just so". The Onkyo TXSR509 does do a pretty good job of setting it up though :D
  7. Guys, I'm looking for a new home cinema speaker system, as my Eltax Libety 3's that were serving rear duties have given up after 16 years of sterling service. I've got a budget of around £500 which must include stands if I buy a small satellite system. Options so far are: Mordaunt Short Alumni - Can be found for around £400 Q Acoustics 2000 Series - Found it for £370, RRP is £600!!!! Tannoy HTS 101 - Around the £350 mark Now I also like to have floorstander fronts, as they're easier for the kids not to run into and knock over, so I've been toying with a Cambridge Audio package that would come in at around £550, but I'd need stands for the rears. Anyone got any thoughts? Cheers
  8. Fuel .......

    Seriously!?!!? Tw@ts!!!
  9. Work in IT? What do you do?

I'm a bit late in the day replying to this, and find it perhaps ironic that throughout the whole thread there's no mention of another ERP solution, until the very last post (I'm ignoring the SAP reference earlier, 'cos it never gets finished ) I'm a specialist in Sage 200. A direct competitor to the Dynamic Nav solution that stooH implements, but it does the same thing. I have to say that after doing it for 12 years now, and having been through support, consultancy, implementation, training, scoping, business analysis etc. that the new challenge in the sales area is a refreshing change, with a different challenge :D So, if you want a UK based solution for your business needs, no matter where you are in the UK, then drop me a line :D
  10. Fuel .......

Guilty as charged I have to say that this whole situation is becoming absolutely absurd. Are they not putting the general public in danger now by agreeing the 11 hour working day so that we can "catch up"? Surely a tired driver with 100,000 litres of flammable liquid behind him could cause a whole heap of damage/death/injury if it all went Pete Tong? I'm not sure the government really want the UK to become a thriving economy again. They keep talking about the economy being poor, but they miss a couple of crucial facts: 1. Petrol prices continue to increase. 2. As a result the cost of groceries/fuel/public transport has to increase. 3. This means it costs us more to live, not for luxury, just to live. 4. The average employer isn't increasing wages year on year, even by the cost of living, so less money is available to spend on family days out/holidays/luxury items. 5. End Result? The economy staying exactly where it is, or more likely, getting worse!!! Wake up politicians of the UK. I'm a mere simpleton, and I can work it out!!!
  11. Buying an A8 4.2 Quattro LPG (2001-2003)

Having seen it go up by 20% in less than 3 months, I can only guess that this is already happening. I paid 69.9p in December, and now regularly see it advertised at 85.9!!!!!
  12. Buying an A8 4.2 Quattro LPG (2001-2003)

Chan, I recently owned a 2.8 A8 with LPG. And whilst the feeling of putting £40 of fuel in the car to then cover 250 miles felt great, having worked out the MPG, it seems it was returning around 20MPG. Not brilliant, but not too bad. Now, based upon some calculations I've recently carried out I reckon the following figures to be fairly accurate:

Car Tank Size MPG Cost/mile Cost/15k miles

A8 4.2 LPG 60 18 18p £2688.29

A8 3.0 TDi 90 33.6 19p £2922.97

A8 4.2 Petrol 90 21.4 29p £4302.30

As you can see there's a significant saving to be had. But, these figures were based on LPG at 70.9p/litre. I've seen gas advertised today at 85.9p/litre so this would translate as follows: A8 4.2 LPG Cost/mile - 22p, Cost/15k miles - £3257.04 Still a significant saving. The prinz systems are supposed to be the best, but you'll be paying around £2400 for a system to be fitted to the '8 of choice.
  13. Decisions, decisions

Oh there's no need for that ;-) Lol My passion, as you know, leads me gently by the nose towards the A8. But there's an element of sensibility, that keeps drawing me back to the A6. But there are some well priced '8's out there that could be quickly purchased. Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk
  14. Decisions, decisions

Hi guys, long time no see. It's been an interesting time for me over the past few years regarding Audi ownership. But that (they?) is another story :)Right now, I'm looking at making another purchase, and I am feeling a little undecided.Options are:C6 A6:2.0 TDi - although I feel it's significantly underpowered for the size of car2.7 TDi - A nice compromise (it seems) between 2.0 and 3.0 territory3.0 TDi - Need I say more? Power and capability in a lovely A6 shaped package. Then there's the heart, pointing me in the direction of.........A 3.0 TDi A8!!! How on earth did you not expect to see that one coming?!?!?!?:eek:I'm looking for a car with all the toys (seems like mission impossible with the A6's I have to say)Bluetooth, Sat Nav, Electric seats, dual zone climate (yeah try finding that combination on auto trader in an A6!!)Having browsed the 'net over the past few weeks I'm also liking the 2009 face-lifted A6's with HDD nav. Is it possible to retro fit this into An older A6?Budget? £8-12k, but would like to get the most car for the least money....who doesn't? :)I''m also not averse to LPG, but having sat down and worked out some calculations recently based upon a 2.8 A8 with LPG, I found that it was only returning about 14MPG not great, and meaning that over 15k miles it saved approx £600. This is great if it's already fitted, but if it's not it's gonna take 60k to give me a return on that investment...that's assuming some government TW@T doesn't decide to tax the sh1te out of LPG any time soon :Slap:
