  1. By coincidence I was just looking at a similar thread on One poster said that they all do this. I know mine does when I reverse of the drive and apply hard lock.
  2. Tramlining

I switched from the standard Continental Sport Contacts on my A4 to Pirelli P Zero Rossos last winter. Not sure they were a great choice. I'm finding that on certain roads the car has a tendency to tramline, which is something I'd never previously noticed with the Contis. Just wondered if anyone else has similar experiences or if I may be wrong in putting this down to the Pirellis.
  3. poppin' the hood

Is it just me, or does anyone else find that they accidentally open one of the boots when putting the key in the ignition? Maybe just my clumsy mitts.
  4. How to crash an Aston Rapide..

Sad end to a beautiful car. It's a pity you don't have to prove you have driving skills as well as money when you buy these cars.
  5. Marco Simoncelli horror crash

I really feel for Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi. Not a damn thing they could have done but that won't make it easier on them.
  6. Hi Al, Just regarding your comment on 4wd in winter. Last winter I was confident my Audi would be great. It's a 3.0 diesel S-Line Quattro. Unfortunately with the combination of potholes and packed ice where I live I have to say it was a nightmare. Perhaps this was down to the 19 inch wheels, I don't know. Anyway, this year I've still got my Audi, but now I have the Boxster S too. If I'm brave enough to take the little lady out in snow I guess I'll have an opportunity to compare. Hope you enjoy your Boxster. I come home with a grin that has to be surgically removed every time I drive it.
  7. Dan Wheldon

A very, very ugly crash. We've become so accustomed to drivers and bikers walking away from horrendous high speed crashes that something like this is a major reality check on how dangerous motorsport can be. RIP Dan and condolences to your loved ones.
  8. Got caught by a speed camera - now what?

You'll get a letter if you're eligible for the speed awareness course and I can't remember the range of speeds unfortunately. I'm sure if you were doing 35 you'd be eligible as they work on +10% + 1mph before they prosecute so you would be at the bottom end of that. 42, I don't know but I suspect you'd be ineligible. Good luck.
  9. Finally a Porsche owner!

The way my left ear and eyesight are going there's already an ongoing recalibration process!
  10. Finally a Porsche owner!

Absolutely love it to bits. Does anyone else find that everyone on the road seems to want to tailgate them though? I didn't want to prang my new baby by taking the bait.
  11. PCM and iPhone

Hi, wonder if anyone can help out as I haven't found the answer to this in the manual. My car is the 987 2007 model year with PCM. So it does have the SIM card slot but unfortunately that's no use to me as an iPhone owner. Will the iPhone work with PCM or if not is there a fix to allow for this? Thanks in advance.
  12. Finally a Porsche owner!

Got it, got it, got it!!!!!
  13. Hard top

Thanks for the advice guys. I think that has saved me a few quid.
  14. David Haye retires

The guy ended up making himself look a fool. Absolutely no reason to show the disrespect he consistently showed his opponents. But if you must behave like that, you'd better be prepared to back it up in the ring.
