  1. Help please

    Hi all I've a problem with my 2007 2.0TDI Quattro 170, heres whats happening, when towing I get SEL lights up when pulling away hard in 4th gear, up hills also when requesting more power. Also getting these errors without towing now, going up a hill from work I can be 5th gear at 55mph around 2000rpm, when I request more power medium not hard power I get SEL and limp mode. I've checked over the car for VAC leaks and cant see anything. I've also changed the DPF sensor as mine had gone "G450" , the old one wasn't recording the % clogged on the DPF probably for a couple of years as the car hasn't complained about needed a regen, most of my driving is in and around town. An adaptation was run on the new sensor prior to switching on the engine. I've also checked measuring blocks 84, this shows lamda at idle and running, at idle the ECU is dumping 22% of fuel in, when no idle its at 0% - I've read this kinda suggests a vac leak somewhere, I've had a look and listen but can't find anything concrete. I have VCDS and can do live testing so if more probing is required please let me know so I can isolate this little bugg3r. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

  3. Hi Can anyone help please? I've noticed this week since using full version of VCDS to add another key to my car that the rear heated window is staying on and not going off, I have to manually turn it off. Is it just a simple HVAC VIN? Cheers

    VAGCOM can reset the service indicator for you, if you don't have it advise people here where you are and I'm sure someone on here will assist.

    Cheers guys, I really do appreciate the advice. I did request photo's on Monday and got them within the hour. I've responded via email to the admin person to see if I'm really really lucky or something. I'll be bending over for a SAC for £75.00 if done in Kirklees. The b@st4rd5, oh well live and learn.

    The part I'm questioning is the fact I was doing 80 and was clocked at 80, most people drive at 80 and above just seems really harsh. I always thought and as posted up here that there was a margin of error so my speed should have been around 75. I'm only questioning if they have clocked the wrong car as I'm really surprised to be in this position for doing 80 and the NIP says 80 so I was thinking and as posted up here by someone else did they make an error by clocking the car overtaking me. Yeah I know it's bad luck.

I was without a doubt doing 80mph, I have been offered the NSAC instead of taking the three points but I just feel really hard done by getting booked at 80mph and trying to see if there is a way of taking this further. Obviously I don't want to go to court and risk paying a way higher price. Can you get pictures without going to court? Could it have tracked the car next to me overtaking me as this car did move lane into the middle once it passed me.
  11. Hi, Anyone in the know that can help please? I've been away and I was going up the M6 at 80mph, I was in the middle lane and this means I would have been overtaking as I know how to drive correctly and my lane discipline is very very good, I was being overtaken by another car at the time and there was a mobile camera van on a bridge, I was always under the impression that doing 80mph was tolerated however on my return home I've a notice of intended prosecution for doing 80mph "exceeding a speed restriction of 70mph." Where do I stand here and what can I do? I know I was doing 80mph as I clearly remember checking this when I saw the mobile camera van. The weather was fine and the roads were very clear. I have various options in how to respond however I was the driver and have only option 4 on the reply to notice that applies other than paying the fine and taking the points, option 4 is "I wish for the matter to be heard at court" no other options like requesting their evidence or anything. There is a contact telephone number but I've not tried to contact to discuss yet. Thanks in advance.

  13. Hi The car is a 57 plate A4. I've had my Piezo injectors replaced two weeks ago by Audi FOC on a customer satisfaction campaign "recall" I'm going to get it booked back in but anyone got an idea on this problem that has been on the car since, the car has been driven 5 times since after coming out of the garage. When cold the car judders around 1600-1800 rpm intermittently, when warm it's perfect, the car will do it once and maybe twice and then it will be fine, the judders vary from about two judders and five judders at a time, feels like fuel is being cut it's that bad. I know it's not the DPF as this was at 30%, I've done a forced regen and it's now at 0%, thought I would pre-empt audi giving some waffle. Any thoughts? or questions to assist in finding this one - I would like to have an idea. I have the full version of RossTech and can monitor some bits if that will help. Cheers for looking.

As per maersk but you need to get on a dual carriageway or motorway and get in 4th gear just under 2000 rpm and go costantly at that rate for around 10-15 mins, the light may not go out during the drive, stop after around 20 mins, switch engine off - remove key and restart again this should set your DPF into regen mode, you must stay on the gas around 1800-2000 rpm You could then do a return journey of the same to ensure it's squeeky clean. On the DPF models if you drive mixed roads each week like bit of motorway etc then you won't see a problem, if you are around town and A roads this is a feature as you're stop start etc. Crack on and enjoy
