  1. HR: What is the official NCAP rating of your car? Me: Errrr, it doesn't have one. HR: Do not drive it on company business, and provide a suitable car immediately, as per your agreement. Me: It's really a 2 door A4, which has a suitable rating. HR: What is the official NCAP rating of your car? Me: Errrr, it doesn't have one. HR: Do not drive it on company business, and provide a suitable car immediately, as per your agreement. Me: No seriously, it shares the same platform as the A4. It's like a 2 door S4. Honestly. 2. Highways Agency Gives Up

In my experience, lowering the limit to increase the flow of traffic is horseshit. I challenge anyone to routinely drive along the blanket 50mph section of the A1 from the Angel of the North to Newburn bridge and convince me it helps with traffic flow.
  3. This could potentially put me on a very sticky wicket. I opt out of our company car scheme and take the cash. In doing so, I agree to a number of conditions (I agree to take business insurance, have a car no older than 10 years and it must have ABS - yup *really* strict conditions ). However it must also have an NCAP4 rating, or higher. From what I now understand, the S5 has no NCAP rating. And as sad as it sounds, I asked about it's NCAP rating when I bought it (you can't be too careful....) and was told it was NCAP5
  4. Football results today

It was headlines of the local rag, who have fallen out with the club and are banned from the stadium. And we should be 3-0 up.
  5. Football results today

Thanks to unbearable pressure from the mighty Newcastle
  6. Returning to Audi ownership

I hope the Audi delivery goes a bit better than the Qashqai
  7. Returning to Audi ownership

I had an A3 saloon as a loaner. Looked nice on the outside but a bit low rent on the inside.
  8. Returning to Audi ownership

No idea on future values but I do know of a former TSNer who recently walked in to buy an A4 black edition and came out after ordering an A6 black edition for an extra £2k. All in all, 18.5% off the A6 Would a 3 year old A6 be worth less than an A4? I suspect not but someone like Booster may be able to help.
  9. National / European Anti Speeding Campaign

Ah we've all done that. As recently as last week
  10. Includes: I bought this on ebay apparently, although I have no recollection of doing so. Nothing wrong with it, other than I don't have a SATA HDD. £8 delivered?
  11. Excellent, it's on its way. I didn't see any small print about proof of postage
  12. Just normal soap for me, thanks. I'm not from the 1950s.
  13. If you really wanted to be helpful, you'd give me a tenner for it.
  14. I'd rather smash it Show me anywhere where you can get a brand new, boxed one for less than £8 delivered! It'll cost me £2 or £3 to post it Stop being tight
  15. Football results today

Villa were something like 12/1 before kick off. Crazy odds. I can see them winning it.
  16. Football results today

Giggs out, Giggs out, Giggs out, Giggs out. Boooooooooooooo
  17. Football results today

Chelsea will win that one. Their youth teams are simply phenomenal.
  18. Football results today

Exactly. It's a game of 2 halves. Or in this case, 4 halves.
  19. Football results today

Yup, first leg tonight (away) and second leg on Sunday. I can see them getting to wembley but the football gods rarely seem to smile on them so I'm not confident that they'll make it all the way.
  20. Football results today

I think it will. Both teams are crap, however our form at the moment is as bad as I can remember. They've got nothing to play for (not even pride as none of them have any) and Cardiff have everything to lose. There's only 1 match for me this weekend, the 2nd leg of the Skrill Premier League on Sunday. C'mon the mighty Gateshead, I need another Wembley jolly.
  21. Football results today

Is it wrong to want your team to lose? Newcastle v Cardiff and Man U v Sunderland this weekend.
  22. Speeding query

They've just announced a £60m scheme to widen the same stretch of road. Coincidence?
  23. Speeding query

Information just released shows the ridiculous 2 mile long 50mph section of the A1 up here (which causes more problems than it solves) generated just under a £1m of fines in 2 months last September/October when they had a purge (as some will know I was very nearly one of the statistics). All in the name of road safety. Wnakers.
  24. Football results today

He will be forever known as David Giggs
