just chipped my cupra and was wondering if anyone has any sugestions on what i can do next to increase power. i will also look at upgrading the brakes and putting a strut brace upfront.

you can get worthwhile power increases from your lump but it does involve quite serious mods the best idea ive heard of is to stick a blower on it but thats not a cheap option. the bonus of having a super-charged engine is it being mechanical and some would say there fore more reliable than a turbo. last i read about this mod was 4 motion boys doing it at a cost of about 5k

WELL THE PLEASING RESULT OF MY CUPRA IS BEFORE 182.5 BHP @ 5738 RPM AFTER 223.6 BHP @5743 RPM WITH 234 LB PER FT TORQUE. IVE ALSO HAD A VIPER D.V. FITTED. IT HASNT MADE AN OUTRAGEOUS DIFFERENCE BUT I CAN CERTANLY NOTICE THE EXTRA POWER AND TORQUE WHICH HAS BREATHED A BIT OF LIFE BACK INTO THE CAR FOR ME. A NICE BONUS WAS THE PRICE FOR THE MAPPING AT £350 + VAT (THEY HAVE A DEAL ON AT THE MO)
