  1. Hi and thanks for your reply. I've found a few posts mentioning TPS. The link I have found seems to be VW Group UK's own supply chain. The site mentions (in several places) they only supply to trade. Is this correct? I have found Quattro Corner and sent them an email, but as the name suggests, it looks like Audi specialists only. I have also found Virdee Autos. Having only emailed him 20 minutes ago, I have already had a reply saying he can get the parts I am after. No website but details here: AudiSRS.com :: Virdee Autos. Thanks again.
  2. Hi, It's been a while since I have had a need to buy VAG parts, but there are a few mods I'd like to make to my new car. Since the sad demise of VAGParts at the end of 2008, I have been unable to find an alternative. They were excellent. Email a parts list, they quoted, you accepted and your parts arrived next day. I emailed VAGSpares.co.uk but they couldn't supply the parts I was after. (Under seat draw parts for MK V GTI.) Not sure why not. I contacted dsgwagen on eBay (apparently works for Hayselden VW) over a week ago and have heard nothing back. I'm basically looking for an alternative to VAG Parts. Can anyone recommend a company? As a thought, are there any franchise dealers that have a parts department that work by email and post and don't put a large markup on? Any insight would be gratefully received. Many thanks Woter
  3. Thanks Paul. This is the thing I'm on about, but this is an aftermarket piece of kit. It was built in to the Polo, so I was wondering if there was a setting accessable through VAG-COM to change it for the A3. Thanks Woter
  4. Thanks. THat is more or less what I thought. I removed it over a week ago now and it hasn't come back. I looked up in the book and it said "Replace Engine Parts". Thanks again.
  5. Hi all, Does this fault code mean that the car has been red lined at some point? Anything to worry about? The car's an Audi S3 225bhp 2002. Address 01: Engine Controller: 8N0 906 018 BP Component: 1.8L R4/5VT 0002 Coding: 10710 Shop #: WSC 01236 WAUZZZ8L131209114 AUZ7Z0B2170537 1 Fault Found: 17968 - Maximum Engine Speed Exceeded (Engine Warranty VOID! :-) P1560 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent Readiness: 0000 0000 Thanks in advance. Woter.
  6. There's always erWin manuals too. https://audi.erwin.com. For older cars, the manuals tend to have all the fault codes and how to recitfy them. Can't speak for the bently manuals as I never bought one. Erwin manuals are divided up into selections by "repair groups" each manual contains several related repair groups. e.g. interior, exterior, electrical, faul finding etc... the "Current Flow Diagrams" (about 600 pages) is 104 euros, where as the others are about 18.50 euros each. Once I mastered how to read the electrical diagrams, they helped me emensly to fit CCS, SatNav and the fance rear view mirror. There are also training manuals and general info about each car on there. Hope that helps a little. Woter
  7. Hi All, Does anyone know if it is possible to set the indicator to repeat three times automatically without "engaging" the switch. i.e. pushing it right down/up where the turning of the wheel will disengage it. I had it on a Polo 9N and got so use to it I keep forgetting the Audi doesn't have it. If so where and what are the codes, addaptions? Many thanks in advance. Woter. P.S. My VAG-COM is in South East London if anyone needs help with their VAG cars.
  8. Hi All, I've read a selection of posts mentioning AMD, APR and Revo, and I'm going to come to my own conclusion that they are all the same, apart from one thing that sells APR to me: I was going to install Cruise Contol (CCS) myself, but after doing this on a Polo 9N I know it can be tricky, certainly time consumming. It is my understanding that APR uses the CCS stick to control the settings and switch between programs, assuming that CCS works as well. As they will fit CCS for a reasonable price I think I'll make this my choice. Certainly seems the neatest way. I would imagine one would have to remove the revo box from the OBD port whilst driving as it would fall out. Is revo "hot switchable"? Can anyone confirm if I have got it right and if so is it as black and white as it appears? Has anyone had APR installed using the CCS stick on an S3 (225 BHP) and what were the new figures? APR Audi S3 Many thanks Woter. P.S. Is that right, the S4 has a normally aspirated engine (No turbo)?? What CC?
