  1. Hi, I have Similar flat spot at 3200 all the time. No falut codes reported and I have access to the VAG COM software. MAF checked and within tolerance. Will check the things suggested in this thread and will keep you posted. Cheers guys. Holmesy
  2. Hi I have agot a pd115 golf and I have had it remapped. I now have some clutch slip. The car has done 64k so what thinking that the clutch could just be a bit worn. So do I put a stock new pd115 clutch back in it or has anyone tried putting a pd130 or 150 clutch on a 115? Is that any difference in the clutch pressure? I cant think of any other reason why it wouldn't work apart from a different number of splines on the crank output for example. Any thoughts? Many thanks Holmesy
  3. Ok I have tried unplugging the MAF. The cars performance dropped dramatically but it was like driving the car without a turbo. The revs climbed progressively and smoothly up to about 4000 where it started to die off which is where I would expect it to. So I don't know what that signifies. I have also previously tried a friends MAF in my golf and the car performed the same. When VW checked the MAF they said that it was "with tolerance." Has anyone every had a problem like this? Many thanks for your help. Holmesy
  4. Hello there! You all seem like a knowledgeable bunch so I wonder if you can help me. Here goes, I have a 2001 Golf Mk4 GT TDi 115 with 60Km on it. It seem to go a bit flat after 3200rpm. That was before I had it remapped. Ask a guy (Jamie Jenkins,South Wales) to come and remap it and have a look. He said that it definitely didn't pull quite right past 3G but that remapping it to see if the problem was still present. Which it was. The Power increase was very noticable and I started to get slight clutch slip when heavily laiden but still flat after 3200. There are no error codes on the VAG-COM software and VW had a look and told me that there were no error codes, which I had told them that I already knew (thanks VW). So they couldn't help. Its had the MAF checked by VW as well and that is fine. All the filter have been changed and I am at a bit of a loss! So.... Could it be a blocked CAT? Should I try some injector cleaner? Should I book it into a specialist? Any good specialists around Gloucestershire? Should I burn the bloody thing? Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post. Holmesy
