  1. New car contest on Autoblog

Has anyone seen the Nitro giveaway on Autoblog? Anyone entered it? I was reading it the other day and was surprised that a blog was giving a car - like, a new, fully functioning car, lol. Here is the link: http://www.autoblog.com/ What do you think the chances of winning are?
  2. I haven't seen a sat-nav device with radar detection. Since they are illegal in some states, I'd imagine a device with both GPS and radar might be hard to find? Most GPS systems have POIs that point out speed cameras at intersections. I'm pretty sure Tele Atlas includes these in their maps, which is useful.
  3. Open the Road?

Cool, thanks for posting, Lee...it's good to see a full picture of it. I think it looks cool - definitely something different. Wonder what type of demographic they were aiming for?
  4. Nitro at DC Auto Show this week (pics!)

[ QUOTE ] didn't they steal the vents in the wing from the Range Rover Sport? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I think they were "inspired" by that. The vents are for show, they don't actually do anything. I like em tho.
  5. Nitro at DC Auto Show this week (pics!)

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] DC Auto Show was this week, went on Thursday and Saturday, had a really great time. They managed to have a lot of cool celebs there - John Cena on Saturday, who I saw - and also Jeanette Lee (the Black Widow) on Friday, who sadly I couldn't meet. Oh well. [/ QUOTE ] Who? [/ QUOTE ] Ha ha ha, I guess they are popular here. John Cena is a wrestler and Jeanette Lee is a pool player. I'm a little obsessed. Anyway, yea, I get similar reactions when I tell people about NItro but I also meet a lot of people who like it or drive it. I have to say that in person it looked appealing. With a few upgrades you could end up with a really nice car.
  6. Open the Road?

Whoa, lots of cool guesses! I agree, Lee...it's a pretty cool idea. Does anyone in here know any more about it? Whatever it is, it looks different...

Anyway, my fav car there was the black Nitro SLT - check it out and lemme know what you think. Also I put a funny pic of my coworker "holding up" a Hummer at the end, haha.
  8. Open the Road?

has anyone seen this site open the road? It got some media attention, and it's really intriguing. Anyone want to put a wager down on what it is for?

Thanks guys, these links are awesome. Autospies is actually one of my fav sites, I've been looking at that one too. Jalopnik is a pretty tight auto blog, and the Car Carzy site i linked to has a lot of pics. (SEMA is media access only so that's why I like that one.) You guys ever check out those sites?
