I read that Mark Webber was saying something similar and questioning the safety car rules.
But I guess if it was him he wouldn't be complaining.

I agree, Piquet did make it a little too easy for Lewis. Then again, this was his first podium finish, maybe he was just being careful. You want I should judge? I'll tell you something I didn't know, I was under the impression that the extra weight in fuel needed to enable a one-stop strategy had such a detrimental effect on lap-times and tyre-wear that it totally negated any time advantage to be had from only pitting once.
Perhaps young Piquet has a particularly light touch with a car. So did Alain Prost and Sir Stirling Moss, I believe, and they didn't do too badly now did they? Interesting season so far. Regards Johan |
