I saw a white one a few weeks ago and thought the same re the arse end. It reminded me a bit of those exaggerated car drawings / pictures you can buy.

Saw my first one in the flesh at Goodwood yesterday, all my fears were confirmed...

They had all the previous generation RS models lined up and I overheard few guys saying "It hasn't aged at all, has it?" about the Escort Cosworth
