No, really - these things exist. Curiously it also had a Brabus badge on the back so god knows if it had more than the 640bhp of the 'standard' Zeppelin.
![]() Judging by the plate "L 1" its the Lithuanian embassy car. Latvia must be gutted, they only have a 730d....

Doovla says...
The vehicle details for L 1 are: Date of Liability 01 12 2010 Date of First Registration 17 12 2009 Year of Manufacture 2009 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 5980CC CO2 Emissions 390g/Km Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour BLACK Vehicle Type Approval M1 Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle 6 Months Rate £222.75 12 Months Rate £405.00 Motor Insurers Database has it listed as a Maybach 62 - RAC lists it as Maybach Saloon. So it seemingly checks out. Apparently it costs about £125 or thereabouts to fill the tank! - Gotta love the net for finding random nonsense! Last edited by pontyslapper; 01-02-2010 at 04:04 PM. |

If I wanted to be chauffeured and had an unlimited budget, I'd choose an S class Merc. No, I wouldn't choose an AMG model either - I don't see the point of them if you're sat in the back. And no, I wouldn't choose a Roller either. Maybachs are based on Merc mechanicals, with a massive amount of cow-hide thrown at them (plus a few extras). I think they look hideous.
