Default B7 A4 3.0TDI quattro Cabriolet

Spotted this morning in Chippenham heading out to the motorway. I like the look of the twin pipes and the new tail lights. The driver spotted me taking the pictures in his rear view mirror!

Good spot!
Wonder why they don't just make the exhausts look the same as the petrol ones, but let the soot out underneath the car?

Cheers

I have a few more pics but they're pretty much the same really. I was waiting for him to boot it past the cars in front but he seemed content to just pootle along in the inside lane. It looked good from the front too.

Being a cabriolet driver, I'm guessing, "Well hello big boy!"

Interesting point on the exhausts. I read somewhere that the BMW d's are Euro 4 compliant which is why they can have straight sticky-outy exhausts. (That's a technical term ). Though one imagines pointing downwards helps muffle the clatter.

I bet that cab was nearly 40k too. Lovely car but in my eyes convertibles and diesels just dont mix. Id have the 2.0 TFSI or 3.2

A slightly bemused 'why the hell is that bloke photographing the back of my car?' look!

As it was brand new and quite an exclusive car, and I was in an Audi too (my not so exclusive 80 ), I guess there's a good chance he would've worked it out. He glanced over and caught me oggling the front of it too as I passed him. As you can see from the pics, it was filthy.
