  2. I've just bought a 2004 A3 Quattro 3.2 DSG (96,000 Miles), and all was perfect for the first month..........but then I went on a long motorway journey. I've got a very heavy vibration, that shares through the steering wheel and the whole car making it undriveable. It changes frequency with the engine speed not the car speed. It starts when I press the accelerator and completely disappears when I take my foot off the gas. I've had my mechanic look at it, he's changed the badly balanced tyres and changed the oil in the haldex unit, each time I get it back it feels better until I get on the motorway again. I can't really feel it at under 30 MPH but as soon as you get on the open road it gets worse the faster you go, but disappears as soon as you lift off the gas. I did hit a pot hole very hard a week or 2 before I noticed it so this might be connected. Any help would be greatly appreciated
